Rodolf, 05 May 2025"Huawei has no presence anywhere" Are China, ... morechina is the homeland, and the government is backing them up. that is an easy win in the backyard. huawei's middle east market share is declining lower than 4%, japan market share is non existent, india market share is 4%. highest is thailand with 8%. usa is definitely not the whole global market. there is europe, russia, africa, australia next to the ones I wrote above. huawei has no presence in any of them, either.

Very much doubt it will be better than the Mate XT but it looks like it will be competing with the Mate XT 2. Samsung is putting another infolding hinge on the Z Fold and calling it a tri-fold.

Since Huawei has no presence anywhere, they try to get some attention by new innovative devices. Samsung doesn't need that attention.they have huge investment on a well established footprint.trifold galaxy can be meaningful once apple releases the first iphone fold.

I wonder if the 3rd size should imply laptop not just phone OS. That'd make sense and actually be cool, since Samsung has been making laptops and dex persons for a while. It could be a monitor or have keyboard as on in a pinch, yet better than an iPad-gen device if it had a full laptop OS for work.

CamoGeko-XDA, 05 May 2025It was only a matter of time until samsung made its own trifold. Samsung has shown various prototypes, including a tri fold (more like dual fold?) model years ago when they released their first foldables. So it's nothing new.
