Apple's foldable will be different from anyone else's?

    Press X to doubt.

Apple used to be known for bringing things that are 100% refined. That failed with Apple Intelligence which has costed Apple the global smartphone market share lead to Samsung. Apple has to crank up things, and a foldable with invisible crease (Already achieved) and for some reason "more higher quality hinge" won't do. Apple has to to these things if they want to get instant success in Foldable market:

      1) Make it so that that outer display runs iOS(XY) and the inside runs iPadOS(XY). There is currently a lot of things that one has and the other doesn't, but that is what Apple has to fix with parity updates. A few things should work exclusively for the big screen. That is for Apple to decide what "few features" would they be.

      2) Atleast IP69-IP68 Water Resistance. Apple already has the best water resistance among any mainstream worldwide available phone with 6 meters for 30 minutes Water Resistance. If Apple is really an innovator, they have to find a way to adjust IP69 into it. It would be an absolute game changer, market shaker move.

      3) 6000 mAh Battery. Apple is the king of battery life. If Apple is planning to make Apple Fold the best phone in its lineup and not a different design-worse deal phone, it has to use the new Carbon ion battery technology and fit in this massive cell. Apple's optimization + 7000 mAh battery = Market domination. It would be an instant hit among people who want undisruptive battery life, like office workers.

      4) High quality under display selfie camera for BOTH the outside and the inside screen. The screen-to-body ratio would break records. And by under-display, I do not mean the ZTE under display or Samsung under display camera, but an actually good camera.

      5) Somehow compatibility with Apple magic keyboards. Maybe using magnets I don't know. Plus, compatibility with more PC games that can be played when using the Fold with this magic keyboard. And Ofcourse the added ability to play mobile games using Magic Keyboard.

      6) Ear bursting(in a good way), high quality speakers. Fold offers more space = better speakers. -20 LUFS would be a massive hit.

      7) Bigger camera sensor. Apple doesn't do it. So it should but hide the fact that they did. Secret camera upgrade.

      8) Click sounds when fully opening and closing. That's it. Sounds. Clicky sounds.

      9) Make it as thin as iPad when fully opened but with more durability.

I guess no wrong doing by Huawei that eroded trust with the US fits into your imagination. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Making crease " invisible" is up to screen maker, not client .
          Nothing client can do about.

The only thing that's gonna be "innovative" is the atrocious pricing

LOL. A rumor complete with another rumor to cover the first one if it weren't true.

I'm sticking to my prediction that one of the first foldable Apple devices will be an iPad. iOS is not built for productivity, something that will be a selling point for a foldable. Meanwhile, iPadOS can already do side-by-side and has stage manager.

High.Tech, 10 hours ago"Its folding screen's crease will be almost invis... moreThe last Oppo weak "flagship" foldable didn't do well with JerryRigEverything...

There is still room for further innovation, especially in durability.

                  It should be called iPhad.

imagine where Apple and Samsung would be if Huawei didn't get sanctioned.

Apple need to learn from their own mistakes with Apple Intelligence and not jump into the folding game until they are 100% ready to do so, regardless of how much time that takes.

Let's face it, as with the whole 'Ai' thing, competing in the still very much niche folding space isn't something Apple need to do for survival. Yes they will get critized for 'falling behind' but most of that is by those who wouldn't buy a folding iPhone anyhow. Just as with 'Ai' most of the droninng on about how much Apple were falling behind came from the very same people who would also say how pointless the whole 'Ai' thing is to begin with.

Apple needs to get back to doing what it is they want to do, how they want to do it and only when they feel reading to do it. Cause the evidence suggests they ain't at their best when rushed.........

kdss, 8 hours agoIf it's still visible, they'll just call it Creas... moreYou'll get notifications coming out of a black bar... sorry "dynamic island" hiding the crease, now that's innovation!

Anonymous, 7 hours agolike ... ?Everything that's already out.

Plus they will be charging way, WAY less (you realise you're looking at an easy $3k low end for the apple device). Plus all the tech in the apple ifoldandbreak is just Chinese/Samsung tech that apple have scrubbed the name out and put apple instead.

So when's the holographic display with pop up floating keyboard coming out, waiting about 12 years for that from apple.

Basically apple is just a company that is atleast 4 years behind android in software and hardware like foldables, copy everything then make out they did it 1st or did it better (like 1st oled display on the iPhone x, was a Samsung display lol). Not only that but they charge developers and companies more, give you less (especially in the box) yet charge you more... And people are still putting money in apple's pockets.

This proves that innovation at Apple has been nonexistent since Steve Jobs passed away. He was the true genius and architect of this brand.

Today, they continue to live off his innovations and patents.
