11 May 2025
CMF tried for a more premium design with this model and created something that doesn't have direct competition in its class.

There is also the option of last year's flagships which are very well priced compared to what is new this year

The phone fails as 7000mAh phones are competing the segment. Plus a lack × Lackluster ✓ of camera quality is the main reason why not choosing it over Others.

I would like to see the accessories that the 4 screws are for. To remove the screws then you cant take the back panel off anyways so i would imagine these would hold the accessories stuck to the phone to make sense to have them.

Also the alternatives for the price in this article all are basically garbage while the best option for the price is still Poco X7 Pro that gives the most performance that also means that it last the longest and dont slow down. Something like A36 with 7 OS updates will be probably a snail after like 4-5 years of use. After all the updates that basically slow old hardware down like all updates do with what ever device and software

IDK really, but I think if I get the cmf 1 I won't notice any clear difference between both of the phones

              No ois
              No stereo speakers

The Android Freak, 11 May 2025No stereo speakers and no bigger battery, that's the o... moreNo ois to.

It's basically cmf phone 1 with telephoto, and 70€ price difference. If someone wants this phone, go for first gen and save money, it is the same phone, plus, first gen had better battery life. Same goes for Samsung a35 and a36, only selfie camera is better. X7 pro is something different, better than both of this two, got better soc, better camera, bigger battery, faster charging speed, proper IP. The first two are good phones, but they got basically 0 upgrades, and that is the problem. P.s, A56 is also under 300€ now and is rly great alternative.

                    5000mah for this price...nahhh

If the CMF 2 Pro had a smaller display (6-6.2") I would have grabbed one for sure. Because there are no compact midrange devices I have to buy a Xiaomi 15. I neither need its performance nor its camera capabilities.

Even samsung A26 is better than this with OIS and 6 years of software support. Where I live, those who can't afford flagships, don't change their phone every 2 year.

According to statcounter, right now more than 65% of android phones are running android 13 or below. That is why samsung is providing 6 years of android updates.

People are not changing their mid-range and low-end phones every 2 year. They are not even changing them in 4 years. They stick to their phone as long as it works even if it gets slower and sluggish. If you are living in a wealthy country, you probably don't understand this but majority of people in the world are not living in wealthy countries.

Would love to. The first one, and the Nothing phone 2a really impressed me. Still hasn't launched in my region however!

I'd buy it if the size is smaller.

For the given price the fact that it has a telephoto camera it makes it very attractive!

It is not really worth an upgrade even if you own a CMF Phone 1. You will barely even tell the difference especially when the processor has just the "pro" moniker slapped on top of it without any noticeable upgrade.

And removing the user-replaceable back cover (the CMF Phone 2 is glued unlike the 1) is a big downgrade in my opinion. I'd rather go for the Pocos in this price range, despite the lack of telephoto lens.

If I had to buy a cheap, huge phone, I'd choose something like a Redmi or Poco. Stereo speakers, faster charging and a more powerful chip. Something like the Redmi Note 13 Pro would have a better primary camera, too. Otherwise, a Motorola like the G85 or the Edge 50 Neo on sale.
