It's quite probable that the Sony name is the best known name in tech world wide and has been for many, many years! Unless you live in a cave or the middle of the Amazon jungle you have heard of Sony! I have no doubt that the new VII will be excellent in many ways. Better than some and some will be better than it! The problem they have (for whatever reason) is that very few people around the world even know they sell phones! They simply do NOT advertise nearly enough! I am willing to bet that if they spent some serious cash to advertise in every market they choose to sell in that their sales would rise! Apple simply does NOT make the best phones and yet they sell more than anyone else! WHY??? Because you see a dozen iPhone commercials EVERY DAY! Simple!

Aside from the downgrade in screen resolution, this biggest issue with Sony is their lack of support from third parties. If anything goes wrong with the phone, it has to be sent back to Sony themselves and they do not have good customer service.

But people would rather discuss magic than see first-hand how wrong they are for ever expecting decent photography from a tiny phone camera with zero ergonomics and a tiny portion of features that the real thing has.
