Just want a 13s version and design for the US. Seriously it's the phone I've been wanting and checks all the boxes for me. Hoping they make the 15r visually the 13s because I'm in. Maybe ip68 however. Just hopes and thoughts.

Objectively speaking the Oneplus 13 literally IS a flagship as it's the best Oneplus currently offer. There is currently nothing more premium than the Oneplus 13 from the company (they ditched the 'Pro' suffix for their flagships and now it's just numbers since the 11. Their 'flagship killers are the ones with suffixes) You may not think the camera is as good as other flagships which is debatable but many reviews state otherwise. The Oneplus 13's triple camera setup, while having slightly less zoom reach is still comparable to the best out there.

yungfishstick, 12 May 2025Anything above 1080p is pretty much indiscernible on screen... moreI can see the difference between FHD and QHD, easily. I personally havent compared FHD+ and QHD so i cant say for sure how it is but still, QHD is still a flagship compononent.
And no, max brightness doesnt NEED to be higher. Oneplus and Oppo do something that's more pro consumer than other manufacturers. They chose to forego high maximum brightness for higher sustained brightness. When your phone's hot in the sun, it'll dim down, FAST. Be it the Pixel 9 Pro, the iPhone 16 Pro or the S25 Ultra. But the Oneplus 13 wont.

It's mea... moreThe Oneplus 13 is not meant to be a 'flagship killer', it's actually a flagship (just as the 12, 11, 10 Pro etc. before it were). The 13 has a relatively good camera setup that is capable of producing photos comparable to other flagship cameras judging by many online reviews.
Anyway, I hope the 'FHD+' mentioned in this article is a typo, otherwise this would be a seriously fatal move on behalf of Oneplus.
