HAHHAHA this is gonna make haters cry, see what happens when you dont make a massive update from the ground up. Once again for the haters Android 15 only came out months later due to One UI 7 being a massive update for over 50 devices which no other OEM has done.
Now they doing a bare bones update like all those chinese OEMS people love and it wont take as long

OneUI7 took so long because it's the biggest core change of Android since they abolished Java apps.

One UI 7 first hit the S25 series in February 2025 and is rolling out to older devices right now, like the 4 year old S21, that's 4 of months, not your imaginary year long wait.
Expect One UI 8 to be released even quicker, especially since it's not a massive overhaul with big changes like One UI 7 was (Vulkan).

I wish these companies would stop saying "this summer" or "this fall". Don't they know that different parts of the world will be in winter? Hell, we call it autumn rather than the fall in Australia, so it sounds dumb as well as inaccurate!

Good. They should start releasing a new Android version twice a year, so the ridiculous 7 OS upgrades thing turns into 4 years.

Well, the pressure is on them. Massive delays (or even any delays at all really) to One UI 8 after the One UI 7 debacle will be a PR disaster for Samsung!
Hopefully, given that One UI 8 isn't as big of a update, things go smoother this time.........
