Is Tetra fold the future?
We already have the Trifold which is a barphone when folded and a tablet when unfolded.
A four fold unfolded extends this to a laptop screen.
Harmony OS is the fitting OS for it.

Ra-Iri, 15 May 2025Rollable screens will make a lot more sense for laptops, bu... moreThe only problem with rollables on laptops is that they would be most useful going to the sides, not up. That makes it a bit of a mess to swiftly set up or stow away.

This is basically a foldable screen and not a laptop. Needs a new name for a product category then to be called laptop.
You basically need a bt keyboard for it to use and then have the screen opened and be on the side for widescreen. Physical button keyboard will always win the touchscreen at least for me. I need a feedback on my fingers on the button pressing that i dont get from a touchscreen. At the point these are just foldable tablet and not a beast for working.

Rollable screens will make a lot more sense for laptops, but sadly companies decided to drop the tech.

David 040882, 15 May 2025Listen, I get that the concept is cool and all, but genuine... moreThey're large foldable tablets rather than traditional laptops. Because the other half can be used as a virtual keyboard people call it a laptop.

All we ask on the Laptop Industry for a premium performance laptop with 144hz touchscreen for under $999.
They gave us nothing but AI garbage.
CoPilot Spyware,
Stubborn Features,
Ransom Warranties,
And this???
I'll just build my own laptop from the secondhand market.

Maksims, 15 May 2025And who exactly asked for a folding laptop screen?Maybe the Chinese? You'd be surprised at the number and type of everyday items being sold over there.

Listen, I get that the concept is cool and all, but genuinely, why would we need a full-display laptop that folds which presents a higher risk of damage because of its fragility, when regular laptops fold, anyway? Have a bigger display? Really? It just seems unnecessary to me
