Honor abruptly cancels its comeback in India (UPDATED)

The majority of electronics, from the high end stuff like GPUs to basic stuff like door alarms are manufactured in China and then sold in India with fake "Make in India" plasters because...they assembled 99% of the parts imported from outside, in some Indian sweatshop. Some of these "Startup" CEOs who show up on TV shows parroting the jingoism follow the same model of importing 90% of the core electronic components from China and then cramming them into cheap unrecyclable plastic shells in India and calling it "Make in India". It's all a funny joke really.
The icon of the current state of affairs: the Statue of Unity also is Chinese-made but proudly drum-rolled to be some "Make in India" achievement :D

Hackbox, 16 May 2025How? Please explain why my strategy might be wrong.Your strategy will definitely bring sucesss, but this is impossible.
Specs at the mentioned prices is not feasible, especially with a small company like Alcatel
The companies that come close to providing these specs to price, are huge companies like vivo, oppo and the likes of it with huge supply chains and great economies of scale to be able to achieve close to that
The business and economic aspects of building a phone, just doesn't allow it
What could be feasible, will be :
Budget specs, mid-range price
Mid-range specs, premium mid-range price
And so on.

The Honor 400 features the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the Vivo V60 India comes with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. which is far better than Snapdragon 7 gen 3
In any case, Indian consumers seem unconcerned about Honor's exit from the market, as better alternatives are available. Honor's market viability now appears limited to the Middle East and Europe.

Classic Chinese methodology to undermine a market. Undercuts with one "unique" brand. When it fails, do it again with another "completely unrelated brand". Western regulators are aware of this and the rest of the world should, too.

Wonder how many will trust Alcatel now that we see how Honor panned out. Honor after sales/warranty challenges were all over social media indicating all was not well. For Budget or mid range, Mi, Poco, itel, HMD, Nothing, Samsung, OnePlus, Realme, Oppo, Vivo, Motorola, etc. seem far more committed than Honor. Premium space has Nothing, Samsung, OnePlus and Apple as trustworthy. Google with Tensor is all about experience than raw performance and it's kinda difficult currently for smartphone market to be competitive considering what we get in terms of software support, hardware design and features. Consolidation or lack of choices is eventual for rectangular slabs that we all have now. Nokia, HTC and Sony Ericsson during their peak brought amazing devices with experimental designs too. Apple with iPhone not only killed all but made the mobile market all about yearly good specs at exorbitant prices. I wonder what is left apart from foldable.

no wonder these companies just want to quick sell and get out and build another and repeat. while looking at these other companines including samsung and motorola are just selling preconfig multiple phones with same hardware.
a, m ,f series = samsung
oneplus, oppo, vivo, iqoo, realme = bbk brands
mi, redmi, poco = xiaomi brands
honor = huawei brand
and others tcl, alcatel, techo, infinix, lava and many more are just selling brand sticker phones similar preconfig phones at cheaper rate with old hardware.

Honor can only blame itself for falling for these scam artists posing as business developers. Similar thing happens all over Europe, where they had to reduce their operations in several markets. And everywhere they have some strange people with history of scamming companies they worked for. One would expect a chinese company to have stricter inner control, both in home market and abroad.

Hackbox, 16 May 2025How? Please explain why my strategy might be wrong. You cannot expect the companies to go all hogh end with everything brother. If they give everything you want in one product, how are they gonna earn from you then? Because components aren't cheap at all. If the company has to give everything, at a mere price, how will they last in the market? Without profit, there will not be any R&D neither marketing nor other benefits.....
Amd no company today wants to serve ppl on cost of profits. So, it is delusional....
