All you apple fanboi's need to get a grip. ARM announced 64 bit Cortex A53 and A57 cores a year ago, it was only a matter of time before phone manufacturers starting using them. Going 64 bit makes very little sense when you've only got 1GB RAM but Samsung have a 3GB phone right now so its only a matter of months before someone else comes along and ups that to 4GB in which case you NEED 64bit. The difference being when Samsung/LG/Sony start using an ARM 64-bit licensed SOC it will have more cores, more memory and run at a higher clockrate.

Lets face it the iphone 5Same is a big disappointment which is why Apple's stock price went down after the announcement.

Shocker. That is what Samsung is good at. Bet they're going to release their own version of fingerprint scanner. But we still are going to flock the product because they are competitively price

Now why when Apple adds a fingerprint sensor you don't say that Apple is "catching up" to Motorola?

I hope when Apple finally "catches up" with the 21st century and starts offering decent sized screens with decent resolutions that this website says they have "caught up".

                      shame on u samsung.
                      Samsung: ctrl+c;ctrl+v
Samsung:if apple produces a 64-bit phone it is not innovative, all the koreeans have done was just to put more cores and ram but they did not really cared about real innovation. The only real geeks (the real phone geniuses) and those who want to imprese with their expensive phone would buy an iPhone.
The others who just want a big screen and noobs would say"FTW sammy" like if they get some money if Samsung has proffit.
I've just observed this I actually own a Nokia...

For the few years that I've had a 64bit OS on my PC I have to say that I've noticed little performance increase in everyday use when running 64bit programs versus their 32bit counterpart. Also a 64bit program can actually have a higher memory footprint so a0 64bit feature is obviously great for fanboys (as illustrated here on this very thread) but don't expect miracles. Actual noticeable, real-life gains will be achieved upgrades in the hardware and not in the file systems.

Should be on nfts instead of fat32. Although the benefits for lesser-hungry os, like iOS, would be minimal on 64bit it should be much more noticeable on power-hungry android.

For ignorant fanboys on either camps, people should know what their os is and what would be best for that os instead of debating who has better 'numbers' in hardware specs. There is a reason why android needs more RAM and why 64bit will be more useful.

....I wonder what people with degrees in compsci and software engineering would think?

WoW even most desktop pc users doesn't have more than 4gb in their pc's.
I won't be surprised if Android will still lag even with 4gb or more ram. Android is just a messy unoptimized OS.
