can someone tell me that storage devices like hard disk have 1-2 tb but even larger ram is only upto 8 gb. even smaller sd slot is 64 gb. i dont know about this more so can anyone give me information website.

I'm pretty curious how this translates in added functionality for the end user. Is 64 bit really necessary? Well clearly they didn't do it for extra RAM. 32 bit operating systems can handle 4GB of RAM. They should invest more in other areas like battery consumption and heat dissipation / thermal management. I previously owned an HTC One X. Not only was the 1800 mAh battery barely enough, but in games and demanding apps, the temperatures would go up to 55+ degrees in Celsius. So I think they should put a break on performance and focus on these two issues. Because if they pursue only performance, the battery consumption and heat problems will only get worse.

laggdroids, 12 Sep 2013Its not about the RAM used...its about application written ... moreGuys, what I meant is that it is not copying anyone. Just that. The 64-bit architecture is certainly important and inevitable. If Apple had not announced its new architecture now, surely Samsung or another company would very soon. Or do you think that Samsung began the project of 64-bit of its future processors only after hearing the announcement from Apple? Of course not.

What a marketing hook for unintelligent sheep! What do you profit from 64bit arch on a mobile device? Answer: if your dev has under 4GB of RAM - NOTHING! In fact, you lose more memory space by running 64bit apps which are always larger than their 32bit counterparts. You need 64bits only for addressing more memory space than 4GB, it's a "natural" limit of 32bit system w/o PAE.

              Educate yourself!

Samsung announcing 64 bit is not a big thing as of now. We need to understand when android will announce 64 bit OS. Because android 64bit should work seamlessly with samsung 64bit. If samsung 64bit going to work with android 32bit then it is of no use to get performance.

Again once android releases 64bit OS then they will have android share split between android ICS, android Jelly bean and android 64bit

Again android developers will hv a hectic time in changing all the apps. Same time ios smooth deployment to all iDevices will hv an edge.

hahahahaha Love Androidliebers, if Samsung would had made the S4 64Bits-Arch first and then Apple all the comments would be: Apple is copying Samsung! What a lack of innovation!
But as it's Samsung taking the idea from Apple (as usual) they say: It's a natural move, it's evolution!
                      hahaha priceless.

As most of the smartphones run on a 32bit architecture, developers will, concentrate on,the majority users not on new users. Same logic that you apply for developers developing app for Android vs WP8.

iPhone 5S is the world's first 64-bit processor IN A PHONE (get this straight if i'm wrong), then Samy WILL use this too at their next flagship phone.
I dont see any further advantages using 64-bit procie, what about the apps?? are they support installed in a 64-bit phone procie??

Samsung go for a 64-bit processor is not copying anyone. It's just a natural evolution and clearly foreseeable. Already now the Galaxy Note 3 comes with 3 GB of RAM. The next step, of course, would be to implement the 64-bit architecture for its processors in order to incorporate 4 Gb or more in the future devices. Now, Apple has implemented 64-bit on your new iPhone 5S, however, offers ONLY 1 GB of RAM (!). What is the real benefit of this new architecture? At this time no benefit, just marketing.

I'm not defending any particular company here, its abt rampant ignorance. The fact is that almost everyone takes an idea from someone else and perfects it. Each of them have their field of strength. Fanboys on every side should understand it, and should not go after others when their company comes up with something regardless of the need.
