1. There is no way to access any app that is not on app store, except in EU and that also has to go through apple's BS.
2. This is regarding Apple vs Epic case and has nothing to do with Google (it's a separate case). Although google still allows third party app stores on Android and even without those you can install any app you want on Android without going through Google's BS.

Google is taking steps on Restricting Third-Party App Stores and Side-loading apps.
So in the near future. Android 16, 17, or later versions? You won't be able to utilize Third Party App Store and Side loading apps.
And I've checked Samsung Store. Fornite is not available.

Google case were completely separate with different remedies imposed. Apple has already exhausted their appeals and are now refusing to comply with court orders. On the other hand, the Google case took longer to make it into a court room, so even though Google lost in a bigger way in court, they were still pursuing appeals, so the court orders have been suspended for the time being.

And before anyone tries to disagree with me, this already happened. It is only ppl who have never used iOS a day in their life that perpetuate this no third party app store for iOS myth. I switched to iOS full time over a decade ago because of their superior third party app selection(🏴☠️).

- Google Play Store.
- Third party app stores (Samsung Galaxy Store, for example).
- Sideloading apps, either directly from their official websites or from a repository (F-Droid, GitHub).

People can always play Fortnite on android but not on Apple unless Apple allows it on their app store.
