Apple rumored to be testing a 200 MP camera ahead of three years of iPhone design changes

Let us pray it is at least a 1 inch sensor on its Ultrawide lens, because the current model, very good in very good light, collapses in a noisy mess beyond 200 iso and whilst its colour balance and capture of tonal range are good at low isos this particular sensor on the 16 Pro/Max struggles to retain credibility as isos rise, simply because of Apple’s refusal to CARE whether we capture crap or not. Panoramnas are extremely sensitive to detail loss and they refuse to provide Image Stabilization on their Ultrawide lenses, all of which are much softer away from the central areas. AS the Ultrawide unstabilized on a tiny cheap chip that is really only 12MP is the Achilles heel of the camera design, can we please have a sensor that gives as good as the results we get now at very low isos on the current chip?

    Rumor has it S26 Ultra is slated to have a under display selfie camera no cut out hole in display.

                          The only "real" good that many MP's do for you is if you take a photo, then enlarge & crop it.
                          It will retain more "pixels" to not look distorted. The biggest problem when you pack that many pixels in such a tiny space is when you take a photo in less than good light. To capture the photo in poor light, the sensor will turn up the "gain" on the sensor. With that many pixels shoved into such a tiny space, the data lines are so close that it can increase the cross talk/signal to noise ratio. That can result in a noisy photo, which the camera AI software will try to compensate for and it can turn the photo "flat".
                          If 200MP was such a better thing, then explain why very expesive such as d-slr's and mirrorless usually top out UNDER 50 MP? My d-slr has only 24 MP and can shoot rings around any smartphone. It's not the NUMBER of pixels, per se...it's the SIZE of each sensor.

                                under display camera would be too much ZTE for the Apple. they should have stick with the notch, reducing it's size each generation. the pill hanging down as low as uvula, intruding on the screen.
