Anonymous, 10 Jul 2025got an iphone now, truly an experience only benefit is the ... morebasically i did the same with my work phone. that self developed modem in the 16 e truly works great and yeah granular charging limits. but everything else is infact better on xiaomi 15 as a second 2cent.

That said ui is objectively worse the app library being unable to be turned off or changed, or unable to add a number row, or lacking of a back button has made it a worse experience. It also runs just as hot when gaming? lol the power consumption is acceptable on both and I prefer xiaomi 15 any day. Also notifications vs swiping for controls is sometimes not working on landscape, apple music glitching out, and also ads about getting all the apple services in settings. The animations are slow and unchangable on apple, truly a dont change the settings phone. slient mode mutes my games, allows music, so only solution? use focus mode.
Its just as much of a learning curve and apple apps feel outdated harder to use. Copy or not it, apple isn’t flawless, what it is in 2025 is a status symbol, its an ok experience. charges faster as well. currently the only feature i prefer on apple is more granular battery control. xiaomi 15 only limits to 80%, but also couldn’t careless when my battery is 40-50% bigger.
tldr: i like my xiaomi sorry its truly easier to use.

Doesn't matter if they put a bazillion mAh battery. Their system sucks, isn't optimized and is just a copy of iOS

I don't play games or watch movies on hikes. I listen to music periodically and I use the GPS. I never have a good signal in the woods and the GPS probably uses as much battery as anything. I definitely get over 4 hours.
Whether it's a mobile phone, earbuds or a pocket drone, everyone wants more battery life out of their devices, but it's a much bigger problem on the GSM forum than it actually is in real life.

The majority of Samsung and Apple's main phones achieve all day battery life. If these other batteries offer 1 day with heavy use and 1-2 days with normal use, I'm all for it, but nobody is taking a two day trip with these larger capacity phones and leaving their charger at home. We're not there yet.

If only Xiaomi made their UI better, like more fluid, responsive, light and better customization and features, i would officially leave Samsung in the past. The only things i still like about Samsung phones is the excellent oneUI (especially oneUI 7) and the anti reflective glass on the ultra.
I can forget the better glass, but not better UI.

I have the Xiaomi 12x. It has been amazing. I really hope Xiaomi to release a variant of the 16 with sd 8 elite instead of 8 elite 2, and bring the price down.

Most if not all Chinese brands are giving insane battery capacities and during tests they barely keep up with Apple and Samsung which have much smaller batteries.. That tells a lot about the system optimization in these phones, you check s25 ultra battery endurance for example and you find it 16 hours, you check a chinese phone with 25% more battery and smaller screen and gives you 15 hours

I think the competition from OPPO and Vivo though will bring periscopes and similar sized batteries in their 6.3" flagship series models. Xiaomi seems very reluctant to spend money on periscopes. Hopefully they will bring one to the Xiaomi 16. Early rumors suggested they would but some of the latest ones on Weibo are saying it's still going to be an upright telephoto

Battery goog but if they make 7 inch phone they could fit 8000 mAh cell or bigger.
Small phones are useless they have useless specs usally laughable endurance and worse durability than regular size phones with 6.7 inch or bigger.
