Let's hope the global version also has a 6,800mAh battery. If not, I don't know why I would buy a cut-down global flagship.
Also, sadly, their OS is pretty sad, I don't need an iOS rip-off clone OS.

Small phone, huge battery, and still packing a complete camera setup with a periscope as well. Now this is impressive, and futuristic.

Nice compact phone.this might be the only iphone pro competitor left alive.hope the also get a more efficient battery life, better video quality, a more refined UI with less bloatware,get rid of adds and global availability

Paying the premium for the base 15, 16 models doesn't really give you much more other than a Qualcomm chip.
I was going to get the base 15 but when I actually compared it to the 14t pro it made 0 sense to pay the extra $400 for very little with only a slight difference in benchmark scores.
My advice, just wait for the 15t pro and get that, spending the premium for >1" of difference isn't worth it. My guess is that Xiaomi banks on spec autists or just markets their base models more than their other offerings

In Europe the base 12gb 256gb model launched for 1000euro which is expensive. You can always keep your eye open for deals though when the phone gets older. There will be more phones around this size next year from all the Chinese brands so hopefully there will be more competition if they launch globally. Still, in Europe I think if the flagship series ones launch from Oppo, Vivo and Honor they are likely to be a similar price to Xiaomi. If value for money is a priority and there is no rush to buy a new phone it nearly always works out way cheaper buying an older model on sale

Atleast where I live it is cheaper than the base variant of samsungs.

I'd love the Xiaomi 13, 14, 15 or 16, but they're so damn expensive. Given how many models it releases each year, why can't Xiaomi make one of the Redmi Notes small, or have a 14T mini?
