Hahaha aha suckers!!
All that hype yet the same typical cooling neglects the increased pricepoint!
And yallhated on the ROG 9 Phone Pro that never considered that failed old tech since the 6th generation. Tested tried and just never delivers what is truly wanted.

RushGamer, 08 Jun 2025Why not try checking other reviews other than this site bro... morei've seen other reviews from technick and techtablets but not this phone's one, and from what i've seen they dont do in depth testing or anything, just casual stuff.
And i literally called their cooling "world class" and from what i've seen here, their non-fan cooling is indeed best in the industry. I've seen some stuff from Xiaobai as well, I highly recommend you check em out, in Genshin, Honkai and other games this phone is the coolest without any display brightness fluctuation. Now that's some insanely good cooling.

You could also check out Wekihome who did nice tests on the 10 Pro+.

I think what people are missing regarding the fan system is the difference between benchmarks and reality.
Yes, in benchmarks the fan seems to have little effect, but in actual usage it's definitely useful. For example, I can run games/emulators at higher quality settings AND have a more comfortably cool phone with the fan on. Plus I like ability to have the fan on to slightly cool the battery when fast charging (I don't fast charge often in order to help try to preserve the battery, but if I have to then I might as well try to help the battery from overheating)
---
But yeah, as another comment mentioned you can easily get an external cooler (or one built into a controller like the JK02), but it's a nice feature to have when you only have your phone on you.

jiyen235, 08 Jun 2025it's just weird, they have world class non-fan cooling... moreWhy not try checking other reviews other than this site bro, try TechNick, TechTablets, ETAPrime, and many other YT that's not sponsord by RM. From there, you can see the fan's really doing its job. And its reasonable to reach 50degrees C temps if they're on Rise or Diablo mode as its not throttling the CPU/GPU to provide the best temps ever. This isn't like your typical flagship phone like Samsung or iphones that throttles down the CPU to get a better temp.
RedMagic devices if you've ever used one, maxes out the CPU/GPU for best performance as always, therefore more heat. Also, the fan more like disperses the heat on the aviation aluminum frame and through the air.
Lastly, when you enable the Rise and Diablo mode, it will really ask you to use an external cooling since these modes will maxedout the CPU/GPU output therefore the built-in cooling fan is more on CPU cooling focused than cooling the whole phone itself. Or might not be enough to cool the phone itself as a whole. ROG Phones and other flagship devices that only relies on vapor chambers won't reach the performance RM provides cause if under performance mode without an external fan, they'll just throttle the CPU/GPU to decrease temps.

Anonymous, 07 Jun 2025the rog phone achieves that with its active cooling system.... moreLOL your ROG Phone doesn't even have a built-in fan, if you're including an accessory on a comparison, then try comparing the RM10SPro with the RMCooler 6 Pro attached as well as you're comparing a device with a boost than a device with only its built-in parts.

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2025iPhone 16 Pro Max, any iPhone DEMOLISHED the best slowdroid... moreStop it. Comments like this continue to further that elitist attitude. iPhones are good phones (I have one) but there are things that Android phones can do that iPhone can't. Not to mention in every day use, you won't be pushing ANY phone to the maximums unless you're doing some heavy emulation or playing mobile games maxed out. Let people enjoy things......

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2025you do know what "driver optimization" is right?
... morewell all that matters to me is how the phone performs in games and what temps it has when it is being pushed like during video recording, 5g phone usage, gaming or video encoding and Chinese phone reviewers do thorough testing on that.
Lover of Tech does 5G battery drain tests and TechNick has excellent battery drain tests as well with temps shown. For the most part, outside of benchmarks and fringe cases, like newly released chips that arent optimised for specific games or Apple's chips, updates dont improve stuff that much outside of the UI.

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2025you do know what "driver optimization" is right?
... moreto once again add onto this, benchmarks should always be compared with similar software versions (its why geekerwan lists both os vers. and game vers. in comparison charts) and be reran on the same day (or close to as possible) for a fairer comparison.
no, realistically no phone reviewer will ever do that, and yes, thats why absolute benchmark values are always iffy (along with reviewer samples, lol)

jiyen235, 08 Jun 2025im talking about the "updates" thing lol what are... moreyou do know what "driver optimization" is right?
SoC drivers arent provided by asus or RM, theyre provided by the SoC company (qualcomm in this case). when new chips are made (especially with such major reworks like the adreno 830 uarch) its very much a fair bet to expect them to not be perfectly optimized or polished on release date, and as the end user eventually gets fed newer updates, they also get tangible performance uplifts (they come bundled in major os updates for a lot of brands, sometimes they get bundled into security updates as well though). so yes, i sure do hope that drivers published ~7 months later are better than release day drivers for the same soc (thus resulting in a higher score).
its also why i pointed you towards the cpu result, as since its not a "score" but instead a raw throughput test of a known architecture, theres very little variance or optimization to be done.

Anonymous, 07 Jun 2025I don't believe the fan does much in terms of actually... moreThe problem is that an external active cooler you can glue to just about any s8e phone and get actually measurable performance improvements costs about 30usd and will help just as much if not more with both external and internal temps.

jiyen235, 08 Jun 2025bro's just yappinWay too complex for you to understand or something? Mips is just millions of instructions per second. Its not an aggregate score. It's the raw cpu throughput.
