Anonymous, 06 Jun 2025...Now, we can debate the dishonesty of labelling something... moreI can see why you’d say that but don’t you think people are smart enough to know the 26 version is the latest since they’re, you know, living in the year 2025 — not ‘26! 🤣! The iHate is so, so real!

SonuRathore, 06 Jun 2025Why this stupid year wise software version name shit ?It makes it easier for the lay person to know whether their device's software is out of date. Which in turn helps with security for the general public among others things.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2025Because they now understand why Samsung changed years ago. ... more...Now, we can debate the dishonesty of labelling something being released to the public in the spring of 2025 as something deserving a 2026 name. But hey, it's Apple! When were they honest last time? So, better to lie than admitting they're behind Samsung.

Hopefully these are not the only changes bc watchOS feels so underdeveloped for how much time and resources Apple has had to develop it… It really feels like they don’t give a fuck abt it, actually.
But one could hope that the declining sales will push them to dedicate more than 3 software engineers to it

SonuRathore, 06 Jun 2025Why this stupid year wise software version name shit ?Because they now understand why Samsung changed years ago. High version numbers makes no sense to a casual user. "17, 14? I don't know. Isn't that last year's model?"
