Juraj, 07 Jun 2025Why is so many people obsessed with fast charging?
Sometim... moreIt's practical, and there is really no downside to it either. The thing is, one can still choose to charge their phone slow even if it has fast charging, but you can't just choose to charge it fast, if it doesn't support fast charging.
Samsung's tri-fold will surely be an expensive device, which makes sense, but on a device like that better features are simply expected and then anyone can choose for themselves whether they actually want to use them.

So just like every other Samsung phone released before it.

Why is so many people obsessed with fast charging?
Sometimes I charge my phone over night with PC connected USB cable, which gives only 2.5W, but totally OK, since I sleep and at least battery won't heat up.

Bring fast charging and better sensors and battery than bar phones. Only then you can call it next gen mobile device.

Samsung was a leader, but is now a follower. Soon a looser ? Hope not.

NoWaY, 07 Jun 2025Samsung has been working on battery technology for many yea... moreIt may appear so because they don't have updated battery tech on their mobiles, but that statement is far from the truth. Samsung is the only company producing silicon carbon batteries for micro EVs. They are also said to be supplying BMW with batteries for their Klasse at the end of the year. If so, Samsung SDI will be first to produce si/c batteries for EVs. I get it. You guys don't care. As far as you're concerned, it is si/c on mobiles or bust. However, Samsung is not just a mobile company. They have other priorities. They're also on track to be first to use Solid state batteries.
I thought you guys like having options. Samsung's delay in updating the battery tech is actually giving others an opportunity to compete.

Doesn't matter as long as the insides aren't compromised, especially the chipset not being the nosy ones.

Just keep milking with incremental upgrades since they have the brand name to back them up. Think what could have been if China didn't step up into this market lmao.

Samsung has been working on battery technology for many years, and now...nothing. Other companies are far ahead in everything: processors, memory chips, screens, battery, foundry...Time to wake up, or give up.

I am disappoint...not. I'm surprisingly interested in this Samsung tri-fold. Pretty sure it will comprise of 2 inner fold panels as opposed to Mate XT's inner and outer fold panels. It will introduce more variety in the foldable segment.

Surprisingly, battery and charging technology seems to be a very complicated technology for Samsung. They can't seem to make charging technology more than 45w. Even Apple is currently testing 45w wireless charging and 50w+ wired charging. Samsung seems to be comfortable with their current technological limitations

What a surprise. Here's another one: the device will not be innovative in any way and will be far behind the competition.
But it will still be extremely expensive, because they know they can get away with it.
