I understand Samsung's thinking now. Samsung confused foldable phones with miniskirts 😀. And yes, with miniskirts, the shorter the better 😀. But who will buy miniskirts from Samsung for 2500 USD?

Another nonsense from Samsung: THE THINNEST MOBILE PHONE 😀👎 After all, who needs the thinnest foldable mobile phone for $2,500 that "thanks to its thinness" is damaged by non quality cameras and "has to fix the quality using AI software". That is the "work" of spreadsheet marketers who actually don't understand mobile phones. I would pay Samsung $3,000 without batting an eye for a foldable mobile phone that is 5 mm thick when unfolded and 10 mm when folded and has a built-in 64 mpx sensor, 1/1.3" in size, and has a great 3x periscopic telephoto lens with focusing from 13 cm like my Vivo x fold3 Pro. Samsung doesn't know who its cash cow is, or rather, a solvent customer willing to pay more money for quality that Samsung unfortunately cannot produce. I had to leave its ecosystem only because of Samsung's inability to produce a quality foldable mobile phone.

Joe, 10 Jun 2025I think it's Samsung gimmick, because Samsung still no... more1 component, battery not what the Chinese competitors are using makes the entire overall product a "gimmick"?!
Bruv did you even looking the definition of the words yet for yourself??!!
Its not to simply trick or garner attention to the product. Its segment and uniqueness in features does that on its own.

What I want from fold:
1 better cameras,
2 better charging,
3 better battery,
4 wide outside screen,
5 maybe, just maybe less thick.
Somehow they felt last one was needed the most.

Milan987, 10 Jun 2025I have a VIVO X Fold3 Pro with a battery with a Si/C anode.... moreBull$hit. I don't use the Samsungs I have, that much I like them. And just because your phone, one year old, works good, don't prove anything. ANY new tech should be received with precaution. If you want and like to test new tech on your onw budget, be my guest, but i'm not interested to do it.

I have a Si/C battery with 5700mAh for the second year, I have had it for the second year, the current battery capacity is 99%. It is an excellent battery in an excellent mobile. The rumors that it is "New technology that needs to be verified are of course nonsense that can only be spread by people close to Samsung"

I don't understand Samsung's marketing officials. They probably only understand MS Excel, but they don't understand foldable phones. After all, no one probably needs the thinnest foldable phone. The quality of the sensors and camera optics will be sacrificed for a thin phone. I don't believe that anyone who wants a quality phone will buy the Fold7. It's like the miniskirt trend, the shorter the better. Hahaha Samsung

These batteries might not be reliable, they might break easily, they might lose capacity too fast or something. It's impossible to predict their behavior. Any new technology is unripe and bound to be improved. I don't know what you try to prove - nobody knows, actually. Si/C batteries are not a proven technology. Not yet. Personally, I will wait like 5 years before I buy a phone with this tech.

This is going to be a thin phone, thus it's likely going to compromise on battery, Si/C was mention that they should use that, while the 13s was mentioned to say that they don't need the new technology to offer larger batteries.
