That's the same chip as in the Mate 70 series.

So what it's saying a chipset is a same trash from last year, nothing to see here.

Huawei's phone outbeats any phone brands camera year to year base on P or Pura series in day and night camera photo taking shots short distance or long distance shorts and 20x to 30x zoom shots. You should test your Apple or Samsung phones night shots at 20x or 30x zoom shots and see your camera of words colour from orginally orange will change to yellow or words not clear or red change to orange. From 2023 to 2025, Huawei Pura series phone price range never increase at all year over year, but increase in chipset, AI, camera Ai, ram, Ai gestures, camera features, internal storage, features, applications and camera mega pixels for both front and back cameras. No other phones brands has a dual auto switch camera main lens across any phones brands in 2025 for short and long picture capturing.

Very good hp. Even though cpu and gpu a bit slow., but no effect anything to the hp. Open all the apps and gaming, photo very smooth.
Cpu and gpu development by Huawei itself, is very good company. Keep it up.

Their kirin is as fast as tensor & exynos

Dani.2077, 12 Jun 2025No, but now someone will immediately write that it can 🤓. Harmony OS per se can't run Android apps anymore, but if I'm not wrong you can enable an Android emulation layer to run them.

Watch you the YT Channel ćLL Techview". As an "Huawei enthusiast" he owns Huawei phones and explain about the software situation.

I understand but still, IMO the actual perception that it performs on par with the price is are more important. For anything beyond heavy gaming I think it does, with everything else included along with the SOC.

Nah thanks im good with google services

Like yeah, “Huawei does more with less” sounds poetic or whatever, but that “less” costs more than phones that are doing WAY more, way better. I’m not denying the UI feels smooth, but so does basically every other flagship right now?? Like that’s not some rare achievement in 2025.. 😭

And yes, the whole “it’s their own chip now” thing is cool, and I genuinely respect the effort. But I’m not tryna drop flagship money to help fund Huawei’s comeback arc while I get 2022-tier performance. A 30% boost on big cores is nice… meanwhile Qualcomm and Apple are already sipping margaritas in EUV land and this thing is still at 7nm. Comeee onn...

You can’t just throw in some vibes, a nice design, and hope nobody notices the chip’s out here doing backflips to keep up with phones that cost less. Be serious 😭

I'm looking forward to see Huawei back to the game.
Even though they are very limited by available tech, they still manage to make decent phone chips.
Granted, they are still few years behind, but if they manage to optimize their chips like they did during pre-ban days, they will become a serious alternative to Android and IOS and alternative to Snapdragon, Mediatek and Samsung chips.

BTW, my 5y old Huawei Nova 5T is still in active use and apart from degraded battery, it still works like a charm with its Kirin 980.

Without hardware and software restrictions, that is, being able to fit a SoC on par with the Mediatek Dimensity 9400 or Qualcomm SD 8 Elite into the Pura 80 Ultra would be worth what they're asking for an S25 Ultra, but since they can't, they don't have the desire or the hassle of installing Google services.

It's terrible that the two best candidates for the best overall camera results (photos/videos) aren't available or are so limited. Vivo X200/X100 Ultra and Huawei P80 Ultra.

About the SOC, first and most important of all, Huawei delivers more with less. I know people want to have the fastest SOC possible but what is the point if your phone's software actually don't make use of it? Or just use it to brute force everything neglecting optimisation?
These phones handle as fast and smooth as the competition and this is what matters the most.

That aside, it's good progress by Huawei. It's full custom now, from the top to bottom cores, it's all a design tweaked by Huawei and they managed to achieve a 30% improvement on the big core.

Huawei only needs a better fab, once the Chinese fabs can go past 7nm and do EUV it'll be smooth sailing.

Can you run android apps on the new Huaweis ?
