[deleted post]Yes they will have the right. But nokia will still be working in other divisions. .
so don't fear there still there.
will be interesting to see what happens with mickies first device.
and the deals not finalised till 2014, so who knows

I know that the Lumia 1520 has been rumored months before the announcement that Microsoft will be aquiring Nokia. Still, I find it a strange coincidence that they thought of using the latest chipset currently on the market only now, in what might prove to be the last pure Nokia device. (I say pure Nokia since apparently Microsoft will also aquire the right to use the Nokia brand for a 10 year period).

I will be happy with my 1020 . When i get it that is. Roll on next week. . But this looks fantastic. And when the merge happens with rt and windows phone there will be plenty of apps. And dare i say it there will prob be 4 torches. 20 weather apps . We all only use 1 r 2. The platform is a baby. But it will grow up into a super platform. Android and apple fans need to get used to.it. Cause in about 4 to 5 years its gonna be number 1. Windows people will be the opening to the world.
      if u don't like it. Tuff ----.

Nokia is breaking many of the hardware restrcitions that were previously on lumia phones with this new device. this device is the first windows phone to have quad-core processors, 1080p screen, first windows phablet, the latest windows update which is supposed to have a handfull of new features...
right now you're comparing to apple and android, but you're not remembering that windows is only 2 years old and is playing catch up ever since, but this phone is finally getting them to within a reasonable reach of the other two.

If Nokia is still Nokia, I would but it.
But Microsoft had to crash the party.

Monopolistic Microsoft milking us for cash, no thanks.

I got a Lumia 620 and I grew out of it in just one week. Tiles look nice but nothing special. The more you add the longer the list of tiles it gets and harder to find anything. The list of all apps on the phone is even longer and ugly. The OS is missing so many things and the quality of apps is very poor and limited. I am wondering in what way a bigger Lumia will be better? It will take many years to get another Windows phone and who knows maybe one day it is good enough. For the time being I am fine with my iPhone, looking forwars for a 5S.

Maybe a FHD screen and 4K video capability (maybe) needs a more powerful CPU and GPU than the Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon and an Adreno 225 even for WP8... :)

Really, so why did Nokia use Snapdragon 800. Is there something Nokia needs to use that much processing power ?!?! Its a laugh.. and a hardware name for Nokia, really.
