Simple, iOS is being smart by releasing features one by one, knowing that people will still get amazed even though its already been out like ages in Android. "Marketing". Some people, like my aunt, was so amazed at the new slo-mo video capture feature in iPhone 5S when it was introduced around early last year in Android. =D

I dont know why android fanboys always want to compete with iOS and WP...
all three are different OS delivering different experience for different set of people.
you cant get the unique performance of WP in android and iOS and you cant get the customization preference of android in WP or iOS and you cant get the premium of iOS in android.
all the three leaves the user a different factor of satisfaction to the users... just live with it...

i prefer the current UI. the new UI looks flat and boring.
i hope TouchWiz, Sense, or any customized UIs wouldn't adopt this new UI.

I dont understand why google does not upgrade it's android to 5.x . May be its real reason its google has to change basic user interface and it is real time job to bring it action. So they are changing the name not the version 4.x
