The phone's official page no longer claims that it is built in the US. Not unexpected, but it's strange that the screen dimensions changed and the launch got pushed back.

Am all Trump but they can excuse me on this one, at least phone wise. Their coverage might be awesome. Phone wise, nah. If I were them I would have offered special Flagships Google & Apple that made exclusively in USA and have way higher options to attract people. Maybe make enough money first to venture out.

The same people even today told me how they find this LGBt whatever movement pointless, they are who they are, and no man can change that, so they do not need to screem about it. As i do not screem about the fact that i am hetero.... The point here is, no trump, putin or stalin will be able to change who you are, they can only change what you *screem" but in the end, do you really need to screem, don't you know who you are? Do you care so much for the mass to understand and accept you? If that itches so much that you can't stop talking about it, then do something meaningfull to the education part instead of lgbt parades. This friends of mine, have websites where they explain how they feel, also have call lines for people who find out that their children are gay, or are gay themselves, to offer information, support and education about it. If you want people to stop being ignorant to you, you do not go on parades, you educate them. Most of the people have absolutly nothing against gay people, but they are annoyed from the ones that feel the need to screem every day "i am gay", and instead of helping it actually backfires. Do not get me wrong, i have nothing against lgbt parades, but i also do not see how this parades would change anything in the perspective of others. Be who you are and stop being so sensitive: I mean with words like "trump wants to end my life", come on... i know the last part was not you who said it, i am more or less generally speaking.

          justasmile, 04 Jul 2025You obviously have prejudice against Chinese companies anyway I think i said it like more then once, that i do not appreciate "me too" brands and "copy paste" brands, especially when they bring absolutly nothing new to the table, but just a copy paste with biffy paper specs and so on. So yeah i have something against them, still (and i am now repeating myself) i do NOT run through every chinese device comment section to bash it, as we cann all see, you and some here do every day. I say "some" because most readers do no commet, but most who comment, bash. I know no other tech site where one can't show interest for a device or discuss pros and cons without the cheap chinaware brigade to show up an try to sell some pocos while bashing the device for various nonsense: no cheap enough, too cheap, no headphone jack, no 8000mah battery, no sd8 gen 100 SoC, and the commedy can last, and last... That was the discution from the beginning, ider you ignoring what i am saying or you don't understand english so much, or you are so fund do demonstrate something that you believe, so much so, that you do not see what i am trying to tell you😉.

Anyway, ignoring that part, i know that every company needs to earn money, that is the problem with people that do not know/understand this. If they would do, they would question the existance of poco devices and how come they cheap if company also needs some money? Also, i doubt the that device started to show signs of weakness after 8 years, ider you never used a good device till then, or you got used to the lag.... if you would use it now, you would probably notice that what you say is not true. I understand, everyone wants cheap and bash/trash everything that is not (in their opinion) mostly this users living in your country, yet they can't get over the fact that not everybody is fan of cheap and paper specs, and not everybody needs to buy chinese companies. I do not hate china nor chinese companies, I support small companies from Europe, this companies need more support then xiaomi or redmi or whatever mi. The problem i have with chinese companies is the introduction of paper specs into smartphone world, out of lack of innovation and so called cheap, also out of lack of innovation + copy paste, out of lack of innovation. They practically destroyed innovation, the will to innovate and research, through their paper specs very bad OS devices, that are also not great quality,(from hardware perspective) as you say, but what's important is cheap. Anyway, back in 2003, smartphones were all about innovation not what SoC they had, nobody cared about the SoC, everybody cared about the features they brought to the table. But lets talk pass iphone from 2009 to 2013 in this years nokia brought more innovation to the table then any company before and till date. Only talking cameras like 808 or 1020 makes the companies today look plain, and that is scratching the surface. Anyway all of this has nothing to do with what i have said, i was talking about bashing and trashing and expect for people to just accept that and accept the propaganda too, why not just buy some poco? That was my comment about.

                      It does not matter if it's Made in China, as they will build the phone to your specification and based on your budget.

                        I'm an Indian, and I don't favour China, in fact I hate, but you can't deny their sheer presence.

                        I kept my $110 Mi Redmi 2 Prime (2GB RAM) for 8 years, before it finally showed signs of giving up. This was 2014, and they're not disposables by quality. Maybe they deliberately keep low age of their own devices, the reason being low price.
                        You can't have segment beating price with segment beating longetivity, you simply can't. The company needs to earn money. So, they stop giving updates, stop supplying service centers with batteries.

Huawei was big... moreHuawei are still leaders in telecommunications and in their own continent, which if you actually look more Asian countries are far better developed than anything in the west AND there's more people in asia, so no no no Huawei is not a small company, just because the west threw their toys out of the pram doesn't mean the wests markets are stronger/better or only place that matters.

                          Be like saying only anything in America matters in the west, forget Africa or South America, any European country and anything that happens there doesn't exist.

                              On the other hand, when some bother others with their "cheap chinaware is better then this and that trash" rethoric everywhere non chinese devices comments section? Oh well, i presume i am allowed to also state my opinion. Do i deny that i do not care about chinaware? Nope, because i couldn't care less about any of the existing or defunct chinese companies. Do i consider them disposibles? Yes i do, as they are. So as you can see, i have my own opinion about the chinaware, but i do not go in a bashing spree everytime a new disposible is launched, and they are launched almost on daily basis... when you comprehend this, you realise who is actually the problem here. You can't just go in a comment section for a device that's not in your interest, bash it, insult peoples choices who bought it and use it with words like "overpriced garbage mine is better", insult people that are there to gain more info about the product with words like "live under a rock" "poco is better, use that, only morons buy this" and so on, and then get upset, when someone else cuts your b.s short and takes a tour on your beloved/propaganda devices. But i guess that less and less people hold on some ethics, take responsability, have common sense, understand that every action has a reaction and just because they bought something, is not mandatory for everyone to do the same.

                                    Also only you know what is your pronoun. We the people in the wild see all sorts of people and we dont know everyone pronouns. We dont live in a computer game with identification powers to know all your sizes and everything when we look at you to know your pronoun.

                                    We also speak out of respect as Sir or Miss on how we see with our own eyes. If you look like a Sir to us then we call you as that. Or if not needed to talk with then we rather not to avoid conflict. Like if you work where you give service then we need to talk to you to make our order. So will you get mad that we dont know your pronoun by just looking at you and then spit in our food or something ?

                                    Also how do you know our pronoun ? Maybe we have it also totally different then it looks like we have from the looks of it. As we can look as masculine man possible but maybe we go by a female pronoun so you also take the risk on judging the pronoun when you first meet someone.

                                    Never mind that it's not normal to start a conversation with anyone to first figure out what pronoun anyone use.

                                    Also you think that this is a human right while it's not. You dont even care that by doing that to throw a tantrum that your pronoun was not said to a person who dont understand all of this at all. But what about his our our human rights when we need to deal with you who think that your human right is somehow more special that it's a personal attack when people dont know your pronoun.

                                    As i said you dont have name tag or something for us to know what pronoun you are. As we need to solve the puzzle with what we see. As we are not in social media where we can click on you and see your profile to know with what pronoun you go with.

                                    It's so simple but still too hard for you people to understand that you change your own language like every after few years and we normal people can't keep up with it. Find new ways on how to be offended and then deman respect while you have not earned it.

That is the basic respect. We dont know your pronoun and we can't call you they them or something like that cause you are single person and not many.

                                      On the body modification also nobody is stopping you do modify your body. If it is coming from your own pocket then spend your money on how you want.

                                      Health care should be for people who's health have problems. Body modification is not going under that care. It's basically same as you get a tattoo as you wont think that this tattoo should go under taxpayer healt care or the people who add something under their head skin to look like they have horns is something you pay from your own pocket as body modification

                                      Health care is for when you have accident and then some of it is paid for the health care. Or if you get sick in some sickness then you get health care. But body modification is not going under any of that. Body modification to change the appearance of yourself to look like a man or women is something taxpayer money should not support for the operations as that is not health concern. Also health care is same for everyone as you need to work to have it. At least that is how it is in my country.


                                      Also i believe that people who do extreme body modification should not get health care as they basically do self harm with their extreme body modification that is experimental and cause long term issues.

                                        Like I comment on the first article about this phone.
                                        There is no way that a smartphone like this can be made in the US at this point. And not for this price espeacially. Reality will find you sooner or later.

                                        That doesn't mean that the first can never be achieved. The US can do it if it keeps building companies to produce the parts on its own. Now doubt about it. The US can reach everything they want.
                                        The latter, the price, this is something very tricky. Unless US workers don't want to work for the same money than a Chinese worker, it will be almost impossible to get an affordable phone made in the US. No tariffs is gonna help. That only makes Chinese phones more expensive, not the other devices cheaper.
