I needed one when i had 8GB storage in the phone and then 16 and 32GB but now that i have 256GB i dont need SD card. And there are options for 512GB and some even 1TB
That basically makes the sd card useless for most as it's point was to expand storage and not move data with it by taking the card out and set in all the time.
3.5mm removal is indeed dumb cause wireless have delay in sound and can have problems on low battery.

plastic is the ideal material to make a phone out of. It's cheap and lightweight and helps keep the costs down. I'd rather have a phone with a plastic frame, and have that money used on the specs of the device itself. Headphone jacks have become redundant. They take up internal space, and most people have transitioned to wireless earphones anyway.
Heres In South Africa Xiaomi and Redmi devices are immensely overpriced, the importers hike the prices astronomically, but that same price hike doesn't seem to apply to poco. Because of this I had to go with Samsung after using Xiaomi for 10 years, but when the updates end on my galaxy A25, I'll switch back.

battery life is honestly good considering i use it for heavy gaming
but loses like 5-10% overnight
was considering f7 ultra as potential upgrade/xiaomi 15 but idk if the issue is still there

F7 base model went 40 Euro cheaper from year ago for F6 that was 429
I saw my local shops sell F7 for 38X euro. basically under 390 1-3 something.
So 40 euro cheaper so that is something new.
F7 Pro also around 465/470 so for 80 leuro less for base F7 it is a good deal.
Good stock gaming just add gamepad that have some cooler and battery built in and it's a good toy to play with. X7 Pro also at 270/290 euro is good pick for that what you want from a phone to be cheap but have just good screen and performance so you can DIY your gamepad for it where camera dont matter.

Lightweight, versatile (can be made to resemble most other materials), can deform on impact and absorb shock, and scratches are less noticeable because plastic is dyed the same colour all the way through usually.
It can also be designed to be easy to replace and remove like on older phones, which also helps to repair or replace internal components - though maintaining a water tight seal may be compromised, but even that can probably be mitigated somewhat by using an o-ring.
Downsides are "premium feel" (to a degree. Sometimes you don't even notice until someone actually tells you on GSM Arena that it is in fact plastic) and heat dissipation is also less optimum compared to glass, metals ans ceramics I guess.
Why not bake a metal frame mesh into the plastic to help with heat dissipation and overall strength?
