Huge amount of people leaving samsung for iPhone.

"iPhone 5s launch sparks 210% increase in Samsung trade-ins

the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c are indeed pulling customers away from Apple’s competition. According to data provided to TUAW, Gazelle saw a monstrous 210% increase in the number of Samsung phones traded in using its service during the new iPhones’ launch weekend. Overall, Gazelle said it handled about four times more trade-ins during this past weekend than it did during last year’s iPhone 5 launch."

iPhone users buy iPhones and Samsung users buy Samsung. The launch of an iPhone doesn't hurt an android user as much as you might think. The launch of another android based phone (eg, LG, HTC and so on) would be the ones to cause poor sale of a Samsung android product.

Nokia is no. 1 in sales before the battle of smartphones happened. But they lost their edge because of complacency. They are tied with Symbian and when the time comes to embrace a new OS for the market they cannot adopt it, and when they have reached the end of term it has already brought an end to their mobile division.

Everyone should be aware that lag problem is not the phones problem per se but it's because of the apps you have installed unless there is really a hardware problem. On any case every manufacturer is not exempted having problems with their units, remember the Iphone 4 recall because of bleeding screen? And the problem with the first Sony Xperia phone? Even Samsung face such problems. Been a note II user for a year and it is still doing well. It lags because I do open so many apps at the same time, power of multi tasking and multi-window, so performance suffer but at least it has a plus on productivity. I use my note 2 proudly like a desktop computer even editing documents. I even have copied all what I needed on a removable card and having no problem viewing them at all. There is no tough device, there is just what we call user carelessness.
