Last weak I got mine X fold 5. the Delivery for WondaMobile took 5 days, much faster than I expected, considering it was the standard shipping.
The hardware is brilliant. Good cameras, excellent battery life, nice feel in hands.
The software is a small step-back from OneUI, that I am used to. But its not too bad. With little fidgeting around I managed to get all the apps I need working with no missing notifications. (I use MS Teams for work and Messenger / Instagram / Viber for personal chats). Android Auto works just fine, as well my banking apps and google wallet.
Overall, I am really happy with the purchase. If I have to give it a score its easy 9.5/10.

How long do you need to release the full review. It has been a week. Must be hard to test a phone eh? Or perhaps lazy?

DarlingYext, 14 Jul 2025"Your unnatural obsession with battery has it the 2nd ... moreAre you in a bootloop error or what?
Specifications are not errors because you say they are. ALL readers can see in posts NO DENIAL
Despite this, YOU WON'T STOP! We see this in your repetitive posts e.g.
still ongoing in every UI 7 article, the latest being Samsung S24, S25 receiving the July Security patch. That didn't go too well, the second time in July you criticised Samsung, without even reading the first paragraph. (Btw Samsung had already completed the task DY said they had not)
Your comments and replies to corrections prove you have zero ability to comment on any phone or phone-related matter. Posting multiple errors daily shows you even lack common sense which should have prevented its publication
If this is justification, it is a meandering mess. Yet again we see no URL so this non-popular (fictional) opinion is held by only one person
My prediction multiple repeated texts will be found (no BLOCKING) in every Samsung Article, similarly in Vivo article side swipe (no T boning) criticism of Samsung.

Yes, it is one of the most important features of a phone, without batteries phones wouldn't work as portable devices and that would defeat their purpose. Battery is an essential feature, that can't just be compromised. There is no point in any high-end feature either, if you can't trust that the battery will last you long enough.
You are trying to justify a $2000 phone with major cost savings, and important missing features and it just doesn't work.

But you can, or at least you should be able to. Important apps should be set to Autostart in the settings, and after that, go to Background power consumption, and set the important ones to high. This is how I'm using my Origin OS powered phone, and have been doing so for years, everything works as it should, including Outlook, I do get all my notifications from it when I should, Authenticator which is never just opened for me in the background, and Google Wallet.
As for half the OS being chinese, no that's not true, most vivo specific apps are, but basically none of them are needed and they can just be uninstalled, or turned off.

Just me, 13 Jul 2025Just ordered the Chinese version form Wonda to repalce my a... moreNot sure where you live, but I have the Chinese version of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and the Chinese OS (Origin) is terrible if you're not in China.
First, half the OS is in Chinese, even after changing the OS language. Pretty much every Vivo feature from ai, to ticket tracker and even widgets are only in Chinese and only work with Chinese systems like AliPay, etc.
Apps other than Chinese ones work with glitches, huge caveats or not at all. For example, Outlook only loads messages every couple hours, regardless of settings or battery optimizations. Netflix movies work, but click on TV shows and it crashes. Teams doesn't work, at all. Microsoft authenticator notifications don't show up unless the app is literally open and in focus. WhatsApp does not show up on the AOD and calls just don't pop up at all.
It's so bad that I'm upgrading to another phone after a year with this as it's just a horrible experience to worry all the time you're missing messages or alerts. I suggest waiting for the Global OS (Funtouch) that I'm told fixes all these issues.
Oh and anyone saying you can fix all these issues with settings, extra apps or special optimizations is lying. Trust me, waiting a bit longer for the global version is worth it! Don't make the same mistake I did!
Also, the hardware is absolutely amazing, the OS is the only thing that drags it down.

Unless... moreI've had the magic V3 since it's European launch, I've treat it the same as any other phone I've owned and it's been absolutely fine. I often end up opening and closing it like a fidget toy and the hinge feels just as strong as day 1. If the offer is good enough I shall probably be upgrading to the V5, mainly for the brighter interior display but the IP ratings will also be a nice upgrade.
From my experience it's unlikely you'd scratch the interior display but I understand the concern.

That's debatable with it's low capacity battery, slow wired and wireless charging
the Honor Magic V5, the vivo X Fold5, and the Galaxy Z Fold7, which has finally caught up to the competition on hardware!
I'm surprised not using the elite but if it means lower price and battery life is still competitive I'll accept it

Darth Caesium, 13 Jul 2025>But the ultrasonic scanner thing is a bit weird. Unless... moreyeah completely understandable, different people have different preferences. I'm curious tho, have u used a side mounted one? and how do you find the in display one more convenient?
Also, yeah, my main issue is the inner screen too. I'm really careful with my tech stuff, my phone has fallen from my hands only a dozen or two times in the past 2.5 years, and a lot of the times it fell on soft surfaces like a sofa or a pillow. So yeah, even then i have bad luck so im steering clear of foldables. But the X Fold5 looks like such a good deal tho lol
I think the hinge issue is mostly solved, havent heard anything bad for a little while. And IP5X is genuine dust protection, just not ABSOLUTE dust protection, if that makes sense. You'd be fine with a little dust around ur phone and since it's IPX8/IPX9 you can just wash your phone to get rid of the dust. Good stuff imo. The IP5X rating makes me want a foldable even more lol, if i hadnt gotten a laptop recently i'd have gotten this phone i think.
And like, i think at the end of the day, apart from the inner screen, everything else is just like any other phone. We had phones in the past with no IP ratings but they survived submersion and dust being thrown at them. These phones having IP5X ratings means there's a decent amount of protection at least
Look how far Vivo has come in just a year, managed to fit in basically the X Fold3 Pro's stuff into a body lighter and thinner than the X Fold3. And it's priced nicely too, for a foldable at least. Give it a few more years and foldables will become mainstream if everyone starts following Vivo's lead. This is market-breaking stuff imo, a fold for the price of a flip is ludicrous

a more apt comparison would be with the xiaomi 15 ultra or the x200 ultra, If you look at the prices you'll see this phone has kinda ludicrous storage pricing, the cheapest one is priced nicely but the price increases exponentially with each storage upgrade lol
but even then, this phone not being the Pro is HUGE! It allows the phone to be far cheaper and allows people like u to get exceptional deals. Have fun with the phone!
