jiyen235, 15 Jul 2025you're telling me making an educated guess based on pa... moreThe Flip7 is a ton more than a processor. It's the most advanced FLIP phone yet. The processor is powerful enough for the format. Flip style phones have less efficient cooling than slab phones, proven by the almost permanently throttling Razr with Snapdragon elite. Specs are useless if the hardware design is bad.

jiyen235, 15 Jul 2025you're telling me making an educated guess based on pa... moreThe issue is the 8melite is put in the fold because it has ample cooling to support it, a flip on the other hand doesn't even have a vapour. And as we had seen with the raze 60 ultra the 8 elite throttles like crazy very quickly in that form factor and even scores as much as the 8 gen 3

Not surprising. Most Z Fold sales come from SK. They're probably the main market that surveyed for a slimmer and lighter Z Fold. Naturally, it would sell well there, but it is early.
Counterpoint already predicated Samsung's shares would increase, but the overall foldable market is not expected to experience gains until 2026 when the ifold comes onboard.

DarlingYext, 15 Jul 2025Pre-order sales mean absolutely nothing.having 1001 sales instead of 1000 is still record breaking, these look like the best deals in a long while for foldables on the global market

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2025First of all, we don't have any info about Exynos 2500... moreyou're telling me making an educated guess based on past data is dubious? wow man that's crazy. Okay then, why is Samsung using the Exynos 2500 on the Flip7 but not on their top tier Z Fold7 or the S25 Ultra?
You just dont understand what efficiency means.
And you're paying the same price as before for an inferior chip. You guys just dont understand anything and fall for marketing bs.

Un-disputed, 15 Jul 2025They always post this when a phone is just released saying ... moreThis.
I hate when some "statistics" made "public" that these "Analysts" Rack up the numbers of the phone sales. It breaks the immersion of reality I tell ya as some point when a new model came out, owners feel free to buy another one and pretend that they have nothing about technology. This is consumer dystopia. No wonder why the world has been controlled by the rich and powerful, always has been.
Dumbbells.

DarlingYext, 15 Jul 2025Really, and who does that? The Z Fold7 is advertised to be ... moreLook up SamMobile's side by side comparison between the Z Fold 7 and Honor Magic V5. The Fold 7 is visibly thinner, despite the specifications og Honor claims their is thinner.
Honor isn't measuring the actual thickness of their phone, only the metal bits without the protective frame around the display. That protective flame is a critical part of the phone and it wouldn't function without it. Also, the fixed metal hinge obviously also means, even if a dumb user would remove the protective frame to make it thinner, the hinger can still not shrink.
Liar liar, pants on fire. As always with Huawei and Honor.

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2025Still better than blatantly lying about the thinness of you... moreReally, and who does that? The Z Fold7 is advertised to be 8.9mm thin, but when the camera bump of it is about as thick as the whole phone, then it's not really the true thickness of it. Right? Other brands do this as well, but it's not anything special to be called out as a lie when it comes to the thickness.

jiyen235, 15 Jul 2025you dont understand what efficiency means.First of all, we don't have any info about Exynos 2500, yet you already make conclusions about efficiency, heat and battery life.
Not like I have big faith in Samsung foundries, but still.
Second, 8 Elite can end up more efficient that Exynos 2500, but It's still too powerful for a Flip form-factor. Sustained performance will be abysmal.
I don't know about you, but I am not willing to pay for top SoC, when the phone will throttle like hell. It's simply pointless.

July's joke. No S-Pen no buy for lots of people. Samsung will eventually fail. They are mad because they can't compete with Chinese advances in technology.

deserved. These looks great.
The Flip7 is a somewhat disgusting downgrade. The 8 Elite is more efficient and would've yielded cooler temps with better battery life.
