gustang, 02 Aug 2025For a T series, those spec is so underwhelming in today... moretheir market target is always for people who cares a lot about performance and cheap price. Camera isn't their priority although it is already very good at that price range.

Xiaomi T series should be a camera flagship killer. Go all the way in camera part (should be using at least Sony Lytia 700 or 800 to be called flagship camera killer). Battery should be at least 6000 Si/C. And a good design like 13T. Not the ugly 14T and upcoming 15T.
You can downgrade in Soc to SD 7s gen 3 or 4 if exist. But don't go half assed in camera and design
If Xiaomi team having a Hard time making good design, they should go back to Xiaomi 12 series

For a T series, those spec is so underwhelming in today's standard. Other phones have start to use Sony Lytia, which without Leica gimmick, they already produce very good photos and videos. Some are cheap too like techno camon40pro and Motorola 60 fusion.
Xiaomi need to turn up the game. Old dimensity 8300 is still sufficient, doesn't need upgrade. Even go down to SD 7 or 7s seems alright. But design and camera (especially sensors and video/stabilisation) need significant boost

By today standards 5500 mAh battery is quite small. Most new devices are at least 6000 and many reached 7000.

1 vanila, 1 vanila plus (or whatever), Pro, and Pro Plus (or whatever), also Ultra.
Vanila and vanila Plus use Dimensity and standard telephoto. Use cheaper glass (display and back cover) So it can be cheaper.
Pro, Pro Plus, and Ultra use Snapdragon and periscope telephoto. Using latest Gorilla Glass tech.
Later, releasing Flip and Fold using Xiaomi Xring SoC just like Samsung release Flip and Fold later and using their own SoC.
For Slim variant, hmmm.. Niche market. I don't think the market will grow.

If someone is aiming for the latest flagship chipset, they should be looking at Xiaomi’s full flagship lineup like the Xiaomi 15, 15 Pro, or 15 Ultra. That said, I believe the Dimensity 9400+ is already powerful enough for most users. I also doubt the Dimensity 9500 will bring revolutionary improvements over the 9400+, and it will likely come with a noticeable price increase.

It's much cheaper to buy the dimensity 9400/9400+ now than it was to buy the dimensity 9400 when it launched. Chip prices drop over time. Therefore they can either save costs and/or launch the phone for a cheaper price than they could have if it launched early in the year

The key point of the T series is to use "almost last year" SOC (D9400)
So, they will introduce the T series just before the new SOC arrive (D9500).

2. haha, right, as if Xiaomi didn't make Dimensity 8300U/9300+ throttle in their 14T (Pro).

Not all people need super ultra fast Snapdragon Elite variant. That's SoC is expensive and easily throtelled. Dimensity 9000 series is cheaper and more than enough for average user.
