Well, consider that competitors like Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung, and other OEM’s have been in the India market for years, chasing all those mid and low priced sales with dizzying numbers of models duplicating each others offerings. And they each sell more than Apple does, yet because the products are so cheap, they make little revenue and even less profits. In 4 short years, Apple has, through its work elsewhere and translating that to India, built a quality and value reputation, followed through with Made In India manufacturing, and offered the best 4-6 models they can build and no more. That the iPhone 16 itself outsells models costing 1/4 the price shows competitors can’t make it up in volume. That Apple already takes up 17% of the entire revenue with just 4 new models annually should make some question just who’s business model is actually better, Apple’s or the rest?
And now, end of September 2025, the new iPhone 17’s, Air and Pro models, especially in Orange, have proven very popular in India, which means they will challenge Samsung for overall revenue value sold very quickly.

Google dropped all app support for AOSP like a decade ago.. in favor of proprietary Google apps. Sony is the only one keeping AOSP alive, and their ui is very buggy lol

Most of these people are probably using android since forever and want to try something new. Xiaomi's retarded software experience on its phones is probably also the reason that people are fed up.

get a nothing phone, oneplus nord, vivo v/iqoo neo phone or just go for a samsung. Oppo sucks in the midrange imo.
