Meanwhile, not only is Lenovo on their 4th generation of the Y700, but there is enough sales volume that ZTE RedMagic and XiaoMi have both joined the fray of small tablets with their own options! And in the case of ZTE, they even managed to get some OLED panels that fit!

Anonymous, 09 Aug 2025So they've kept the same useless 16:10 aspect which fo... moreOne of my family members is actually looking to replace their 6th gen iPad. 99% of what they do is video watching, where 3:2 or 4:3 doesn't make sense. Of course 900 euros is still a lot so I'd probably recommend them the S10FE instead (they don't exactly do much gaming on it, so the performance isn't relevant) but 16:10 is a genuine reason to consider this for some.

I watch content on my tablet and would never buy a 4x3 tablet EVER. People stopped buying 4x3 TV'S a long time ago. Every time a I take a flight I find it hilarious when I see someone on their iPad with half the screen taken up by black bars. I have about as much interest in using my tabet in portrait mode as I do standing my TV on it's end

A bit disappointing that 1380 is being used in S10 Lite. I was hoping for 1480. There is a decent performance delta between 1380 and 1480, but more importantly, the difference in power efficiency is quite substantial.
As per EU label ratings, S10 Lite has an endurance of 87:42 hours, while S10 FE (with 1580) has endurance of 96:32 hours with the same battery size, even though it has a higher resolution display. 1480 would have probably given an endurance rating close to 100 hours, not to mention it would run cooler.
Given the suggested pricing, I would say S10 FE remains a better choice.

I hope a snap dragon elite version comes out, I just want a samsung tablet that will not heat when I play then the screen becomes unresponsive where the CPU is. I'm playing a game that runs smoothly with higher framerates on my M1 2020 ipad and my tab s8 and s9 both couldn't match. Only reason I keep an ipad. please make something powerful and would not heat. I didn't buy the s10 because they didn't have a 11 inch version.
