I bought my mom Redmi 13 4G a couple months ago for 99 EUR and I can say it's definitely a decent basic phone for light multitasking and media consumption.
BUT...
Unfortunately, it showcases how snail crawl we are in the advancements of low end phones, because they're barely any faster/different than those from 5 years ago. We should've had like 2-3 years old mid-range SoCs in the entry phones at this point, like mid-rangers are being equipped with 3-4 year old flagship SoCs, not a 3-4 years old low end SoC in present low end phones. Xiaomi and other brands doing dirty fraud.

1. Unoriginal back design looks a lot like Realme-s, which in turn looks like Samsung.
2. Poor chipset choices for the lower-end models, but at least we got Snapdragons now.
3. Giant screen that only be held by godly hands.

Imho, it should be illegal to manufacture new models with 3-5 year old low tier hardware, because there is no reason low end phones and lower mid-rangers can't advance due hardware being more capable except predatory greed.

I think the Redmi 15 5g would be a better choice than the redmi 15 4g or redmi 15c 4g, the SnapDragon 6s gen 3 is what makes it good, but there are much better phones on the market.

rizki1, 17 Aug 2025none of them, Redmi 15 5G is pretty good but too expensive.... moreit was their best selling phones due to being induced with FOMO in HyperBug aesthetics while not bothering vintage specs in 2025. yet often smearing transsion for offering G100 at the close price offering of the 14C. e.g. the Infinix Hot 50.
the only best Redmi C series were the 10C. and they will be never forgotten. yet they abandoned in favor of Redmi 9C successors. basically, 12C and beyond were just successors of king of ghost touch. the 9C. i hope they share the same fate in a year. so buyers can realize, suffer and stuck with their problematic phones. it's not about cheapness, this was completely intentional. you'll soon to realize that Redmi has slowly becoming Oppo. cramming ancient specs with newer, heavier software and call it brand new yet unusable in a moment. it's devastating. they thought money grows on trees. i often suggest buyers to get the Hot 50 and 60 Pro. yet they deleted my comment on TikTok. pathetic at best, i hope their 14C and 13X gets their digitizers possessed.
