All samsung phones totally the same! All Sony phones look different.
The only two phones which look very similar are xperia Z and xperia z1. But even those can be differentiated from upclose or even from a distance coz the metal frame on z1 has a real shine and is very eye catching, plus it has lot of stuff written next to the camera, thus from every angle it is distinguishable! With just a slight change of confusion.
All samsung phones look d same, s3,s4, note2, core, grand, win ,grand quattro! I cant even name Over 20 phones from samsung all look d same! Ditto! Sometimes even putting them side by side doesn't help!
Get your brand names clear....

Reasons for failure:
Ultrapixel suxxx
No microSD
No removable battery
If your competitors do offer better camera's, microSD and bigger or removable batteries you will fail.

Keep trying creating premium brand image by overpricing fail the htc faster . Overpricing not welcome in android world like apple because of so many competition . Sony do alot better than htc regarding price except their phone designs are very similar to each other and even the salesman confuse which model is which . As for showoff purpose , sony fail badly because nobody know which model you are using even if you are holding a z1 ...

sad news... htc ws one of the 1st manuf. to launch an android device... later htc's, desire (1st edition) was the 1st handset to give iphone 3GS a run for its money... btw desire also faced supply issues hence switched from Amoled displays to LCD.. and i still have the amoled preserved with me it works just perfect absolute beauty, the only mistake htc did is dey cudve contd to make their flagship under the same name that gives ur handset the required rep over time.. (eg. iPhone, galaxy, nexus etc..) they were late in establishing the one brand and also offered too many handsets under the "one" flagship... htc should stop worrying and just make two handsets a year and d rest should be fillers... n pls get ur operational requirement consistent b4 goin fr full fledged promotions... peace

Shame what's happening to HTC... their build quality is good, better than the low plastic grade of some OEM and their design is quite good as Sony and Nokia... but the bad thing is the support and updates, no so good.
Still, i think it could be a good moment for HTC to try another strategies like a WP8 budget device like the Lumia 520, which is selling very well. Now with Nokia gone, HTC could take the place of the top WP OEM like before.

Wow, last year's Queen became underdog, watta shame!
HTCs' build are impressive (came after Lumia), but support and update rates are pretty low.

HTC is a good phone. Hope they won't become another blackberry... the ecosystem now is company should sell Phone+Tablet+PC+Music+Camera.
company which did that =
Samsung - they got all
Apple - Macbook,Iphone,Ipod,ipad. they don't have apple camera.
LG - they don't have music device and tablet.
Nokia - They don't Tablet and PC.
HTC - only phone...
Blackberry - only phone
Nokia - only phone

Overpriced, no original techs(just gimmicks, such as beats audio), not really innovating( = not holding relevant patents...).
A thing is that anyone can buy parts from others and slap their logo on the phone. HTC is nothing special.
