it would be suicidal. all the loyal WP and IOS users carry desire to have a droid. by doing this Microsoft will lose those loyal users too.

Why did htc got involved? It's because they also make windows phone. They can't offer that strategy to nokia because they don't create android phones. Why not on other brands? Because the other brands don't create windows phone :)

Chill guys, there won't be a dual boot option for phones any time soon. What they can do is to sell the same model with one or the other OS but NEVER having both. Sharing the same storage among thow OS-es is too much to handle for all this to become real, trust me.

MS is really seeing it`s doom days coming with the spread of the tablets and all. Their approach was like in the case of the bitten apple , a such simple operating software that it goes faster. It`s like buying the latest computer and install windows 95 on it. If you find simple people (i mean not smart) that loves this idea, it would be though very hard to compete with the million applications you find on Android, and that 99% of them are free.

If that was so, why did HTC get involved in the first place?

It'll be great, just like pc also, I dual boot windows pc with linux, and find my self preferring windows more. Look at HTC HD2 guys.... people enjoyed the phone until now, coz it ca triple boot some more.

                      Why oppose...?

microsoft would be shooting itself in the foot. by doing this, it lets more people know what a joke its OS is.

This is messed up...Having android and wp running on the same device would just highlight the deficiencies of wp compared to android and make people grateful they didn't buy the wp only version of the handset!
