Nexus devices never get microSD because Google would have to pay royalties to Sandisk Corporation for the physical SD slot, and royalties to Microsoft for FAT. Just like they never have FM Radio built in because they would have to pay royalties to Sony. Nexus is a pure Android device without add-ons, and uses patent-free software where possible (FLAC, Vorbis, WebM). If you want the add-ons, wait until the next Samsung Galaxy phone comes out. Pure Nexus devices have no problem selling.

There is a quite simple reason why Google phones do not have expendable storage. Basically they just want to "force" people to use cloud services. I already have all my music on Google music service (close to 10k songs), and with unlimited data option, that is amazing...

Back cover comes off so removable battery? Might have to undo a couple of micro screws but looks possible...that's a good thing no?

AnonD-59657, 06 Oct 2013Apple has already proven to the world micro slot is not nec... moredo you realize how much is the price hike when ones choose iphone with 16GB to 32GB and incomparative to the cost of buying microSD 16GB to 32GB. The price different is soo HUGE. I dont mind the possibilities of fraction of time lag due to two memory slot but I do mind when someone do want to 'milk' me more then what is necessecary. This is one of the way how Apple milk till the last drop the fanboys.

From the pic, I calculated that the thickness of the phone is about 5.5% of the length. So, if the Nexus5 is 130-135mm tall, that would mean that the thickness would be around 7.15-7.425mm

Why it says Bluetooth 3.0 in the manual, not 4.0?

The manual might be fake as it shows it has Bluetooth 3.0 instead of Bluetooth 4.0

The FCC tests were on the LG-D820 and this is the manual for the LG-D821. So, what is different about the the LG-D820 version?[/B]
Answer: the LG-D820 seems to be the "USA" version (supporting U.S. frequencies) and the LG-D821 seems to be the "international" version.
See frequency support here:

Because Google feels performance is degraded by having memory in two locations. They've said since 2011 they will NEVER do SD card memory again in Nexus phones. Deal with it. And anyone who knows about Nexus phones already knows this. :) They sell out anyway.

Noticed something new that will be coming to Nexus series. Nexus 5 will have FM radio. Manual says "Yes" to this. Love this.
