Yes, the intens competition make them like that. You can see what transsion has been doing so far. Not only used better SOC but also used curved amoled screen, optical display finger print and many more which set their price as an entry phone device. This has high potential to screw up their business.
I can understand what you actually want. We as a customer of course want a very cheap price with better specs than what market has commonly offered recently. Trusting you might have read my comment above, it is possible to have those composition you are currently looking for in the near future. Samsung is now offering it by releasing A07 model. The processing unit uses G99 from mediatek while the storage type uses UFS 2.2.

Harrier, 02 Sep 2025Helio G81? The chip can barely run anything these days. Lag... moreG81 ultra is used in my Xiaomi redmi 14c phone. I have no issue found while using it. It still work great. Over 30 apps were installed on my phone. And they are running well. It may of course different from what you experienced. But this is from me, honestly.

Wow, even slower than the M6 Pro 256/8 or 512/12 GB version, because they all had the Helio G99 "Ultra" since january 2024 ! Un-believeable e-waste 2025 - just like Tecno & Spark Stuff.

Sometimes I am completely convulated in trying to comprehend Xiaomi's roadmap logic. Sometimes they make great Redmi Notes, but screw up Poco X/Fs/Redmi or vice versa - sidegrade them at best.
If Xiaomi is considered a "value" brand then by now entry phones should have, at least, upper end Dimensity 6xxx or lower end 7xxx SoCs in them, not SD685 and it's weaker siblings under different names.
If Xiaomi really wants to hold the candle high in the budget market, they need to redefine their goals, because people are getting more and more upset and vocal about sidegrades and downgrades. Focus on less different lineup units and more on consistent upgrades instead. But of course, none of this matters, because corporations never follow people feedback, so we can only vote with our wallets.

Best design by approaching similar rear camera island from Xiaomi midrange phone. Current uncertainty is about price. Would it set similarly or even lower than Xiaomi Redmi 15C 4G? If they maintain what have been implemented to the predecessor, it would of course work better this time.

Helio G81? The chip can barely run anything these days. Lags even in the home screen. Devs need to optimize their software alot to able to run on these 7 years old chip.
