Weren't we know tecno as mediocre brand before? Now I am so confused used by the innovation from this brand which GSM Arena reflected here. Of course there might be missing thing if we talk about the software which is not allowing tecno to automatically be one of the best available brand. Anyway, I would give them 80 percent "Wow" for what they just performed to the new model that will be released soon.

Definitely not, I'm so glad I'm not a narcissistic person like you.
"The battery capacity DOESN'T CHANGE it is not variable."
Sure, it's not variable, but batteries lose from their capacity over time, both naturally and due to charging cycles. For current Samsung phones it takes 2000 cycles to go down to 80% of their original capacity, while most other phones can only endure 800-1200 cycles, but that doesn't change the fact that after said amount of cycles are done, they will all lose 20% of their original capacity, meaning the same battery they've started with is no longer going to have the same amount of mAh left in it, and thus isn't going to last as long as it did, when new.
The rest of what I posted is nothing, but simple math, 80% of 5160 is 4128, which is more than 4000mAh, or 3900mAh of the S25 Edge.

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2025How dare they use a bigger batter than samsung 😆😆😆😆Samsung's logic is slow updates over a longer period to be seen as innovative. Why would they go to 5000mah that quick. They need to be seen as doing something in the next 5 years😂

""and the USB Type-C connector which measures just 0.45mm.""
Nah that can't be right. Type-C plug can't be 0.45mm as there for it's not a Type-C cable/plug when it's 0.45mm thin
A USB Type-C plug is approximately 8.25 mm wide and 6.65 mm long. The standard USB Type-C connector plug's thickness is 2.40 mm,

mAh stands for milliampere-hour, a unit that measures a battery's electrical charge capacity.
"..and when those go down to 80% battery health, they will lose roughly 1032mAh, so the remaining capacity of them will still be over 4000mAh, which is still more than 100% of what the S25 Edge has." 🤣 ^ ♾️ -1
We've all heard of pseudoscience, you seem to have invented pseudophysics (easily disproved by any pupil taught Key Stage 1) because you refuse to accept facts
The battery capacity DOESN'T CHANGE it is not variable. I am not going to waste words filling in the clear deficits you bring to this forum
This is correct

You have provided nothing in
Your last paragraph except a self-serving narrative you've typed, not found in GSMarena not found in EPREL
This fiction is ONLY APPLICABLE to support a high-capacity fewer-cycle battery
The difference is I'm using Maths with both GSMarena and EU battery endurance (which manufacturers have accepted as correct)
Your posts are 100% deliberate misinformation totally disproved.
Instead of proving and providing an actual figure, you misuse words and don't understand physics we have "it's just better because I posted it.
GSMarena and the EU have provided a number not accepted by DY. Look at this post
We've all had numbers withheld
Number still withheld.

Slim phones on a budget are interesting yeah, but I don't like this trend because it doesn't offers nothing in pratical usage, at least its how I see it. Might be useful for others, though.
Thinking logically, development of slim phones might have of some importance to help other phones like foldable ones. Those has limited space and would make good use of high-density batteries and bigger vapor chambers. Also, most foldable flagships constantly suffers from thermal throttling or overheating under heavy usage.

So a big slim phone, right, looks beatutiful, but put it in your pocket and sit down for awhile and then stand up again and take the phone out of your pocket, don't be surprised if you hold a flip-phone in your hands, which isn't working anymore. They may built smaller phones first, than they can become slimmer. Because size does matter in this case.

"Very impressive devices from Tecno, ... more"Both Techno phones' SoCs are 6nm the S25 EDGE has the current Qualcomm 3nm Flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 4."
It uses the 8 Elite, not the non existant chipset that you just mentioned. That information is out there, and is easily accessible.
https://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s25_edge-13506.php
"Atm however whilst battery is bigger for these 2 devices, it is not the full story you need to add recharge cycles and maths to the equation."
Sure, however simply the amount of recharge cycles aren't going to tell the full story either. The battery size and the amount of cycles need to be balanced with each other, otherwise if one outweighs the other, it can drag it down. That's exactly the case with the S25 Edge's small battery, while 2000 recharge cycles are nice, both Tecno devices have significantly larger batteries, and when those go down to 80% battery health, they will lose roughly 1032mAh, so the remaining capacity of them will still be over 4000mAh, which is still more than 100% of what the S25 Edge has.
