Jeez!! This will be the retail price! The retail price of the Nexus 4 was also high, nut the Google Play price was much lower!

News is atleast more realistic than the 299$/349$ claim other websites are making.

The price is for Japan, not for north America.

The good news is that Nexus 5 has 3000mAh battery for 32GB version. But, how come same Nexus 5 has different battery size? Why not all 3000mAh? confused......

                Sick spec, Great effort.

It's promising the sale price will be the same as directly buying from Google. Did the writer even read the whole thing? Anyway, the price is still an approximate so we'll see.

Edit: removed original quote, as the site seem to have f___ed up with asian characters.

Edit 2: Also, since the price is still an estimate, the company is willing to *refund customers the portion if the actual price is lower than the currently listed pre-order price* (while if the actual price is higher than this estimate, the company pay for the difference itself and not charge the pre-ordered customers). I'm not sure if this is a common practice, but if it's legit, then of course it makes more sense to set a highest possible price right now for pre-orders.

well, consider that Galaxy S4 16gb original price was $750 when launched, then i think that Nexus 5 with initial price of $460 is not a bad price for a such device.

This needs atleast 3000mah battery or it's completely not interesting.

Nexus 4 is twice as expensive as in Japan than other markets: ¥49,800

so Nexus 5 should be half of that too in other countries
