If you want better sound quality you have to forego stellar anc (AZ100/Noble Rex5/Pi8), if you want better anc you have to forego sound quality (Bose quietcomfort).

The tuning differences will account for a bigger shift in sound for most people than the changes in anc or the technicalities.

The best thing to do is have a budget, find what works with YOUR devices best and just choose. Most stuff gives great sound quality that you'll be happy with and what's most important is whether or not the bud fits you properly and either choosing a bud that suits your tastes in terms of tuning or at least has great EQ capabilities.

Dont listen to these other people acting all high and mighty, the differences between buds above 150 dollars starts to diminish and for wired stuff you have to generally pay 3x more to get a good amount of difference. For example, from 80 dollars to 240 dollars, 240 to 720 and so on. I'd say the max you should pay is 2k, that's it. I'd personally call even a Monarch Mk4, an 1150 usd iem the endgame for me but people like to venture further. It's a rabbithole you dont wanna get into lol

Technics az100. Overall better pairs but you should read reviews about noise canceling as I rarely use it. Also can recommend good budget earbuds that are value for money. Earfun air pro 4. Soundcore space a40. JBL live pro 2. Currently have ten pairs. And six wired earbuds. Two neckbands. Two headphones.

              Wait, so I have to pay to get exactly my measured heart rate and burned calories approximation?! But this is the most basic thing I want if they have a heart rate monitor, why to pay then for a subscription, I bought the buds already?

                How is ANC twice as better if the improvement depends on the passive foam tips? Then it's the passive isolation which got improved, not the ANC. The article statement doesn't make sense.

                  Live translation (Samsung and Google) and heart rate monitor (Samsung, on their original wireless ear buds, the IconX).

                      The conversation translation feature feels like something out of Her. Talking to someone across the table, but mutually not actually talking to them. The AI needs to develop enough that it translates your personal tonalities and infections or else this will be trapped in the uncanny valley.
