You quoted my comment and said that the latest iPhone would handily destroy the latest Galaxy Ultra, so you implied that the iPhone 16 Pro Max took better 3x pictures than the S25 Ultra. This is your comment:
"Try taking ANY photos of people/animals indoors and the latest iPhone would handily destroy the latest Galaxy Ultra." You didn't say that the iPhone was better at handling moving objects. You don't seem to even understand your own comment.

It's the biggest sensor Apple has used for their own phone, but a 1/2.55" sensor with f2.8 aperture simply wouldn't cut it in 2025.

What? When did I ever imply this?? All I said was that S25 Ultra's photos look rubbish and iPhone is better at handling moving objects. The general image processing on Galaxy flagships has always been crap, which doesn't help when the sensors are already so miserably tiny compared to its rivals. Hell, there's even a rumour that S26 Ultra will have even smaller sensors for their telephoto cameras. Stop putting words into other people's mouths.

It's underwhelming that the new periscope camera will have an effective lens diameter of roughly 5.8mm.
It will only capture approximately 8% more light per time from distant objects in comparison with the iPhone 16 Pro.

Are you saying that the iPhone 16 Pro Max takes better 3x pictures? I highly doubt it. If that is the case, there should be reviews about it. Do you have a source other than your personal observations?

From what I can tell from the sample photos uploaded by GSMArena, the per-pixel image quality of S25 Ultra's telephoto lenses hasn't really been improved from my S23 Ultra at all. This is pretty bad because I consider S23 Ultra's cameras to be purely atrocious without a GCam port. Try taking ANY photos of people/animals indoors and the latest iPhone would handily destroy the latest Galaxy Ultra.

Both of them use it for the sake of thinness, which in itself isn't anything special.
Neither, the Edge, nor the Air had a predecessor, but I gotta agree the S25 Edge is a better device, but still not any good.

And what about the missing ultra wide camera from the 16 Plus, the S25 Edge as one too (while being bit lighter but thicker with larger battery too).
Also, A19 Pro chip with one less GPU core in the Air and no vapor chamber.

US models haven't had sim trays for year now, the current line for the EU only has the Air without SIM tray.
They changed back from Titanium to Aluminium, not really a downgrade, Titanium wasn't anything special anyways.
The Air without a second speaker is weird I agree, but the rest of the line is a big upgrade.
