Ok, the new IPhone 17 Pro / Pro Max are developing further. The new camera set-up needs to show its capabilities. With regards to foto sensors I do not expect fundamental improvements. Maximum the tele-lens might show a positive bump in terms of quality. Video features are touching mainly very specific use-cases with ProRAW, Log and whatever more. That may bring producers onto the edge of the sofa, but the normal user remain to record simple videos and fotos. No real revolution here! Ok, the Pro Max offers now a 2 TB storage option. With regards to colours, the options are boring / horrible. Silver / black / orange, that is not really great. Apple Intelligence might be there in some corners, but is it really relevant? The biggest sucker is still iOS 26. While Andoid 16 provides out of the box an Desktop feature like Samsung DeX and a Split-screen feature as well, iOS 26 does not offer anything to make benefits of the 6.9 inch screen of the IPhone 17 Pro Max. Still the virtual keyboard sucks, as there is no numeric key row above the rows with the letter keys. But yeah, we now have a glass design. Apple, are you serious??? Finally again a disappointing generation, which does not hit the relevant buttons for a really useful IPhone generation!

Cheap aluminum phone. but had to sell expensive due to uncertain tax tariff. apple $200 upgrade each step, is blood sucker

The iPhone 17 Pro Max can only take good 4x to 8x pictures. The S25 Ultra is clearly superior in terms of telephoto cameras. Also, the aluminum frame is a significant downgrade.

This one is a good upgrade. What I dislike are the bumps: less minimalist; makes the phone bulkier.
I'd personally go for the orange color. But nah.

That's not how maths work, mate..
CPU performance wise, A19 Pro offers 20% improvement over A17 Pro.
A18 Pro offers 15% improvement over A17 Pro.
Say A17 Pro's performance is 100 - That would make A19 Pro 120, whereas A18 Pro would be 115.
120/115 ≈ 1.043, which means A19 Pro's performance uplift over A18 Pro is around 4%.

the selfie is a game changer. Apple already has the best video+photo quality combination and now they're doing this. I hope Chinese manufacturers start copying this and actually put effort in selfie cams.
The telephoto is another nice upgrade, essentially making it on par with the Google and Samsung offerings in terms of hardware. And the anti reflective coating makes Samsung's lead a moot point.
This feels like a direct attack against Samsung, taking away all the good points they had, and then one-upping them.
What's funniest is the fact that APPLE of all companies is providing us a 2 tb phone..... i have a 1 tb x200 ultra, you bet if there were a 2 tb model i'd have gone for it. Storage prices are ludicrous on phones. We should be getting bigger but also cheaper storage options, 512 should be priced like the 256 and so on.
