I don't understand the zoom : it's base 4x 48mp and with a crop at 8x its like 12mp ?
So a 200mp zoom at 3,7x is like 12mp at around 16x ?
What is this marketing bs again... Digital zoom right???

Honestly it’s the ugliest Pro to date and the Apple logo shifted downwards looks like a mistake. It doesn’t seem the bump is being used for any special prism zoom lens or anything so just kinda wasted.

Whats up with that thing on the back? Is Apple preparing to comply with EU laws and make battery swappable? In that case it would be crazy good and Apple would redeem themself from that copypaste Poco Realme design

Except for telephoto, and maybe thermal management, not much improvements, but Apple iPhone's are so consistently great, that there is not much needed to be improved. iPhone 13, 12, 11 Pro Max are still such a great devices, and will receive iOS 26, which cannot be said about any other brand 2019-2021 released devices.
My Pixel 4 XL (2019) was a lagfest in 2021, when I sold it. Samsung Galaxy Note10+ (2019), updates have stopped at One UI 4 (2021).
There are times when boring is synonymous with consistent and reliable, with iPhones that is the case.

Ditching the black colour was not a good option especially when the designs and looks have gotten worse this year....the island isnt an issue but the dual toned back panel just makes it less corporate and gives more un-premium kind of looks
The 17 vanilla and the Air looks much more premium than this orange iphone (dedicated to Trump maybe😂)
Rest the specs are pretty good minors bumps as usual on the battery and a decent up for the telephoto

It will be curious to see how much better than iPhone 16 Pro Max will be.
iPhone 16 Pro Max is already a very good battery life phone.
Sadly, the full charging is still quite slow in iPhones (if not the slowest). I doubt that it will be faster than 90 minutes for a full charge. Maybe if you charge it until 80% and then start using it. The last 20% takes more than 30 minutes to charge.

Love the blue and especially the orange colour.
Good move to include anti-reflective coating.
But not mentioning battery size and camera sensor size is veeeeery fishy. Especially the main camera is probably the exact same as last year, and the year before.
So all in all not much of an upgrade. Oh but there's the slightly different backside so you can flex on the peasants that still have last year's model smh
