      Ok so they engineered a whole thing around moving internal components to the plateau area to free up room for a bigger battery, but it still doesn't feel right.

          I don't really understand the idea of making a large island for the camera and yet the camera system still protrudes from that island. Just make the cameras flush within that island and make that island slightly higher than the lens to protect them even without the case.

                  I was a bit underwhelmed by the selfie upgrade. It was welcomed, but selfies in general still feels severely lagging in comparison to the other cameras*

                  I would imagine that the selfie sensor is the most commonly needed in low light conditions: gathering of people in happy hours, wider FOV for group photos at a table.

                  I was looking into the Z Flip and Razr for their front cams as selfies, but their back sensors are not as good as flagship either (very noisy ultra wide). Unfortunately Pixels aren't available here in Brazil without an insane importer mark up.

                  Regardless, I'm also curious to see in action the telephoto sensor upgrade on the Iphone 17 pro max. It would be cool if it would match Vivo. As a Samsung user, I am specially salty about this practice of upgrading one sensor at a time across generations instead of balanced improvements. Tired of trusting the phone and ruining photos because I pick alternative FOV.

                  I'm considering a migration if real tests of the new iphone shows consistent selfies and telephotos (and local resellers don't push a new bump in prices).

                  * I'm not one to take a lot of photos of myself, but they are important when I do. Photos of places and events from the back cameras I can replace with photos other people take, but registers of the people I meet are irreplaceable.

                    I can't believe Apple invented the color orange.

                    I 100% love how none of them are size compatible meaning there will be at least 4 different case sizes to stock at all times. very lol.

                        aluminium unibody should make a return. It looks a lot much better than boring old glass

                          For 800$ , Base iphone 17 is one heck of a deal.
