ARM introduces new C1 CPU and G1 GPU cores with new branding, "Cortex" name dropped

The C1-Ultra CPU core is up to 25% faster than the X925. The G1-Ultra GPU is up to 20% faster than the G925 in raster and up to 40% faster in ray tracing.

A little bit confusing scheme

    AnonD-1198713, 11 Sep 2025So, what cores are the Dimensity 9500 going to make use of? I think Mediatek will stick with a similar 1+3+4 configuration for 9500

    1 x C1-Ultra
    3 x C1-Premium
    4 x C1-Pro

    Dimensity 8500 could adopt something like

    1 x C1-Premium
    3 x C1-Pro (High clocks)
    4 x C1-Pro (Low clocks)

      Commercials, the end user will not see benefits and care at all, because of software bloatware pre-installed.

        Terrible naming scheme IMO. Let's hope they at least deliver in their promises

          and I'm still waiting for AAA games to come to mobile, not asking for the latest games like Battlefield 6 to come to mobile but there are many games from the PS3-PS4 era that can definitely be played on mobile.

                I am so dissolutioned over the "pro", "ultra", "max" naming schemes. Seems so dumb amd depressing already.

                        Too messy. But that's the point - too full customers to think that they all offer same performance, while advertising ultra C1.
