Apple iPhone Air vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: who made the slim phone better?

So it's literally useless. That's why the phone (unless you turn it off) will use the main sensor at up to 5x when there's anything but perfect lighting.
Also, the ultrawide is good for landscape shots and macro. Though, if you asked me, I'd get rid of all the sensors and just have a single really good 1 inch sensor (or perhaps APSC?).

No need to replace it when the main sensor actually does a better job at up till 5x. They should replace the 5x with a 10x on the Ultra. The Edge doesn't need a telephoto.
"Sure, and the S25 Edge is still a big device."
But it's lightweight and thin. It evokes the same in-hand feeling like the base, because of the weight and thinness. Though I'd still love it if Samsung would ditch the 3x on the base and upgrade the main on the base, and give both phones the antireflective coating on the screen. Still, both phones would be miles better than Brick Ultra poking out your spleen.

Sure, and the S25 Edge is still a big device. Plus, we are talking about phones here, not like a 200-220g device is all that heavy anyways, or 8-9mm is all that thick.

Comfort is literally THE most important metric of any device, especially phones. Samsung, especially, did a great job at keeping almost all important features. The 3x telephoto is garbage and useless anyway. And the way most people use their phones the battery is more than fine (I have 40% left after a full day's use, with 6 to 8 hours of SOT).
Now if the base model had the main Ultra camera I'd probably go for that as it's even more comfortable, but the slimness is definitely eye-catching. And make no mistake, being able to type with one hand is a million times more important than a useless 3x sensor or toothpick aka spen.

I'm sorry, but what is the point of this post? The entire post was what the iPhone could be like, couldn't you guys have waited a week or two until you had hands-on with the phone?
The phone is supposed to "give out the illusion of being even slimmer", the display is supposed to be a bit brighter, "We'll have to test the Air's brightness output once we get our unit." The SoC is supposed to be faster "The A19 Pro is the world's fastest smartphone chipset according to Apple, but we don't have any real benchmarks to work with for now."
Saying the Edge is a clear winner in the camera department when you haven't even tested the iPhone, when nowadays processing is the more important part of taking photos with phones, so there is a potential for an upset victory. No charging tests, nothing.
Come on guys.

Depends. When it comes to the design, Apple did a better job, but when it comes to functionality it's Samsung that did a better job.
However they are both form over fuction devices, neither of them did an actually good job.
