They should cost 50 usd (or 70 maxed if they want to stretch it) for a battery replacement. 100 usd is way too much

Cybergravity, 13 Sep 2025Buy a Google Pixel then. I like the samsung bloatwares. You... moreI was thinking of buying a Pixel phone. But sadly, Pixel phones have bad hardware. Or let's say bad performance compared with the price they are asking for it. That is because Google is a software company primarily. Probably they started making phones just for fun and to burn some cash. Is funny though, they are marketing 7 years of software support, but with average hardware. I don't even want to think how a Tensor G4 or G5 will be in 3-4 years time. Probably at the performance of entry-level smartphones.
Regarding Apple's bloatware. I do not considered Google apps on Android phones or Apple apps on iPhones as bloatware. Because those apps are essential in the good functionality of the phone. Still, Apple is letting you delete most of their preinstalled apps.
Did you know you can actually delete Safari, install Chrome and make Chrome as default browser on an iPhone? Of course, Chrome on IOS doesn't look exactly like the Android version, because of the security on IOS. Google needed to tweak little bit the Chrome version on IOS. Still, is fully usable with all the necessary features.
Other example can be Apple Mail. You can delete it and replace it with Gmail as default mail app.
You can't delete Apple Photos app (logically, because is connected with the camera app). But you can sync it with Google Photos if you want it. The same Apple Calendar with Google Calendar.
Basically, you can add your Google account alongside your Apple ID and sync it with your Google apps. But then you will have the same "problems" as on Samsung smartphones. One phone with two sets of similar apps.

I guess it's still cheap.
Battery replacement must cost 200$ and screen replacement 700$, I think apple can do this, especially when there are unlimited number of people who want to donate applez. As this company is trying to collect 1 trillion $ of free cash in their accounts.

You'd think that the back glass replacement would be cheaper on the Pro and Pro Max now that it's a small part of it since it has a metal unibody now...

Kashyap03, 13 Sep 2025Brudda no I mean the bloatware stuff is true for its midran... moreI had both the S25 Ultra and the iPhone 16 Pro Max at the beginning of the year. I sold them because of personal and financial reasons. I don't want to enter in the debate IOS vs Android now. But, talking purely about bloatware, Samsung has more bloatware than any other manufacturer. For me the doubled apps from Samsung are not necessarily, because I already have the Google ones.
So, either they should let you uninstall the Google ones (but probably Google will not allow that), or they should remove the Samsung ones as preinstalled apps. And let the user install them separately, if they decide they want to use the Samsung ones.
I don't care about the preinstalled apps that can be uninstalled. For example the million apps from Chinese phones (especially Xiaomi). In maximum 10 minutes I can uninstall the majority of them. I do care about the Samsung preinstalled apps more, because many of these can't be uninstalled.

This is why AppleCare exists. If not, there are many independent repair shops out there.
If you don't have AppleCare and still wish to get repairs done at the Apple Store, well, more power to you for burning money.
