I find it hard to believe you can go that long not notice a big difference to not want to do anything about it , I would not want to be using a phone as my main with 5 year old battery that's had many charge cycles I would replace the battery

I have a Galaxy Note 9 before I switch to Galaxy S23 Ultra. And I have to charge it like 3 times per day. And I'm not even playing games on my Note 9.

From one day phone to charge twice to thrice a day phone.

The batteries have larger capacity then stated but you can charge them only to a certain level - that's how they make sure all the cells have equal wear and can last more charging cycles without premature degradation. Something like how a SSD has more memory than declared...

Hopicus, 13 Sep 2025IPhone battery is only 1k cycle but Samsung battery is 2k cycle.Samsung definitely has the best batteries .... my old galaxy note & note 3 still work with the original batteries. I easily go 5- 8 years and longer on samsungs without needing battery replacements.

Apple specifically installs short-lived batteries for 1000 cycles so that consumers change them more often at the price of a new Android smartphone or buy a new iPhone. A great business model, as with Apple Silicone cases that wear out in a month and are very expensive.
