      YUKI93, 13 Sep 20251500 nits is still more than enough on smartphones.And not forgetting how nits measurements are practically useless. As long as displays are visible under the sun, nits aren't the problem.

            Finally, new version of IPS display can support 1.5k resolution, 144hz and 1.5k nits.

                  OLCD also exist.. organic LCD

                  LCD is far more versatile than people give credit for

                  LCD is a sandwich that you can change out the pieces with anything you can even use OTHER screen technologies like microled to act like the backlight WITHIN an LCD stack

                      Very nice specs for IPS Screen. But, I'm waiting for 3D Deep ExOLED Panels... It will show everything 3D, with in 40 degrees horizontal view angle... Also have 1.2 cm thickness... (12 mm Deep Screen)

                        I expect to see this on the Moto G76. (Successor to Moto G75, the best LCD phone ever made)

                        The remaining issue of the bottom bezel might be a huge deterrence for some.

                              Great news for people like me who prefer IPS LCD over AMOLED screens. Hope more manufacturers release phones with this IPS LCD with decent specs and features.

                                        Now that's more like it. Great to see someone like BOE can still push the envelope for IPS LCD panel. For those who still can't deal with OLED panel due to PWM dimming and screen burn-in, this is a godsend!
