However, I am slightly disappointed with Honor, as I remember how excited I was before the Magic 7 Pro was released, and how quickly that excitement disappeared afterwards. I've had that experience with Huawei and Honor before. There's a lot of hype and great news prior to the release, and then disappointment afterwards. The Honor Magic 8 Pro is expected to be a powerful device with long-term software support and a comfortable fit, but I don't like the forced integration of AI features and its similarity to Apple products. There's the 'AI button', the Magic Capsule, and now the upcoming MagicOS 10, which is expected to be similar to Apple's iOS 26. Combined with third-party tools (Gemini) and hardware, including a chip (SD 8) and camera sensors (Samsung and/or Sony) etc. So my question is: what have they developed?! In addition, I prefer Dimensity, although it would be perhaps not so powerful as the SD 8 Gen 5. Let's wait a few more days until both are released, but I'm 99.9% sure I'll go with Vivo.

    Unless you are keen on taking good photos with good customisation options, you won't understand the value that vivo brings to the table. I own vivox200 pro, its an all-rounder and would personally say this is best than overpriced S25U and iphone 16pro...

      Will be the usual Chinese trash just like one plus, oppo and Xiaomi...I'd rather stick with apple, Samsung and Google at least you get what you pay for with them

Other than that I dont mind OxygenOS currently, one of the nicer ROMs I've used

You cannot deny that their launchers are chock full of useful features often not found elsewhere, though.

Of all... moreAre you living in 2010-2014 where *some* Chinese phone models had poor software and little to no OS updates? Wake up, it's been over a decade and the market has significantly changed. Even if you don't like the look of these brands' UIs, there's many different ones to choose from, and they've become so good that Western brands' phones now look like a complete joke. I'm even typing this on a Google Pixel and I agree that Vivo and Oppo make far phones than Google.

                          I've most recently had a Oneplus 7 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max and now a Vivo X200 Pro, my next phone is definitely going to be Chinese again, probably either X300 Ultra or maybe Find X9 Ultra.

                          Can't say I'm having many issues. With a 6000mah Battery the Battery life could be better, but I still get a day easily, sometimes two. And it charges faster than my iPhone before anyway, so I dont care. On the upside the camera hardware is much better than what I assume the iPhone 20 Pro Max is going to have, and the phone was less than 900€ around launch, so you're also paying less.                               His OnePlus is his primary phone (OnePlus 12).

                                Iphones might still have an edge in videography but they lose badly in everything else including photography compared to the top dogs chinese flagships, not to mention their closed walled warden ecosystem.
                                Samsung has been stagnating last 4 years, dont understand why as they were the driven force in the Android hardware world for so many years... now they are lost.
                                Last but not least AFAIK most iphones are still made in China lol.

                                  As always, looks amazing on paper, trash in reality. Of all the chinese phones I tried, not one of them were good. Maybe hardware is ok, but software is a disaster. Also batteries die way quicker than lets say apple or samsung. Not a single person i know bought chinese phone twice. You try it once, then never again.
