Nothing raises $200 million in Series C funding, plans to launch its first AI-native devices next year

16 September 2025
It was founded in 2020 by Carl Pei after leaving OnePlus.

Sort by:

First want Carl replaced not that he LEFT OnePlus on his own accord right?!

Secondly this guy talks some serious Horse Manure:

To keep pace with Ai hardware has to reinvent itself THAT IS WHY we're going to release our first Ai phones next year??? Really???

Oh very this garbage heap Ai that's unique to everybody! If I had 1000 Shares NVidia stock in Feb 2023 for every crop that's said that is be a multi billionaire by now!

It's software NOT TRUE Ai.
It will ALWAYS BE A 1 SIZE FITS ALL UNTIL TRUE Ai debuted and it's released and dear from every person subsides!!

Darth Caesium, 16 Sep 2025Well, Nothing's obsession with AI and data collection ... moreIn that case, you pretty much excluded almost all relevant phone makers of today. Everybody is pushing AI, not just Nothing.
But, since Nothing is small company and owner is vocal about it, you and lot of others here wrongly presume that they are leading in AI and data collection.

Darth Caesium, 16 Sep 2025How can you trust it won't still collect data offline ... moreYou can trust if the model loader is open source and if the AI models themselves are open weights. Otherwise it's safe to assume your data will get collected.

The sheeple that buy a Nothing phone are the source of their Artificial Intelligence? It's definitely going to be a winner!

What if we DON'T want hyper personalization and the complete loss of our digital privacy?

I can't wait to drink from my AI-enriched water bottle while listening to an AI lecture at work and getting food from my AI fridge.

Hemedans, 16 Sep 2025Isnt native (on device) AI different from what you guys say... moreHow can you trust it won't still collect data offline to then send back to their servers online?

                                Nothing was really raised

No Thanks. If I were to own a Nothing phone, the first thing I would do is flash the ROM to something else. Don't need the phone to constantly spy on me.

Well, Nothing's obsession with AI and data collection is a world that I will never be a part of.
