It will be joined by the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max when they all launch together later this month.

17mm UW?! Pretty narrow for an UW. Some offer 12mm or 14mm.
Are they gonna go for an 27-28mm for the main one?

      Apparently, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is going to be the true successor to the 15 Ultra. So, the camera specs of the "Pro" (without max) are likely going to be a notch below that and are probably not representative of the coming Xiaomi flagship.

        How do you know if that is the case? Do you have access to numbers by any chance to make such a statement?

                    Chinese smartphones are often full of bloatware, which is why I’ve never liked them. I prefer brands like Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, Sony Xperia, or Apple iPhone—they’re generally more durable and don’t come with hidden or unnecessary apps. I admit I might sound biased, but this is my point of view, and I stand by it.

                        The funny thing about Xiaomi flagships is that so many people defending it, but hardly any of them are actually buying one. 😅

Probably Samsung jn5 for the telephoto on the pro model (Samsung gn8 on the pro max). The ultrawide is probably either the jn5 or Omnivision ov50m (1/2.88). That seems to be what's floating around on Weibo anyway

                                        Maksims, 17 Sep 2025So not only are they downgrading the telephoto AGAIN, but t... moreIt will be a new sensor though from Smartsens rather than the old Omnivision OV50h .The sensors is the same size but in theory it should have better dynamic range. The standard Xiaomi 17 will use the ominvision OV50q (probably a very slightly upgraded version of the OV50h) but both pro models will use the new sensor from Smartsens. I guess time will tell if it actually is any better than the previous sensor or not. i believe it's produced on a 22nm process whereas the OV50h and OV50Q are produced on a 40nm process.
