        I know its weird giving advices for free here, but its annoying how many brands are incapable of innovation.
        Imagine 3 fold with super thick camera island, could be even with a pen slot or jack without any problem.
        Some do worry about you not being able to put it on table half opened or it being too thick,
        but when you got it slim, some bump wont do a lot of damage.
        2 folded sides will be more heavy than 1 side with a thick camera island, so half opened on table it will be stable.
        Even better, when only 2 sides are opened it wont wobble when you put it down so much, well still depending on camera side design.
        As for thicker than fold (4mm or so) camera islands, if done in samsung fashion with a pen added, there wont be any wobble either.
        And thats just for 1 design type.
        Copycats everywhere, real innovators not, hope it changes.

          Xiaomi 17 pro does what all should be doing in foldable space - practical design innovation.
          As opposed to likes of Apple, just bringing design, this one bring both - design and function.
          In foldable world we see major step back from flat design, bringing camera islands, but its still lagging behind bar phones.
          I gave advice, even if public, to sony about what design to use, since they can afford it, but if they are bold is another thing.
          I can still say to others tho, samsung tried design and won because of no official competitor, which is slowly changing now.
          Be it flip phone with bar phone type of sensors, or a fold with a better than bar phone cameras and maybe even pen - are possible.

That says a lot of the... moreIt didn't sell well though so it wasn't verated by the masses and there were a lot of problems with failing motherboards which Xiaomi tgemselves acknowledged. Meizu tried the idea with the Meizu 7 pro and pro+ and later Xiaomi tried it but the rear screen never really caught on so far. Will it be different this time ? Time will tell but i predict the Xiaomi 17 will outsell the Xiaomi 17 pro and Xiaomi 17 pro max combined (in China were they are all available)

                            They even copied the name , maybe they should copy the build quality, stable os and proper updates and then people would actually buy one. As it is its a bad joke.

Also does doing something that takes less than 1 second (pick up your phone, double tap to check) really need another screen on the back? It doesn't, just admit that the only usage this will get is for people to put memes on. Funnily enough though, knowing Xiaomi they will be extremely restrictive of what formats and sizes you can even put on it, if any.
